About Mehki
Expert Analysis
Aaron Villa | Prep Hoops Scout
Mehki is a very lengthy guard that does a little bit of everything. He is a really good passer and always has his head up looking for teammates. He is a great rebounder on both sides of the floor. His scoring can come from the three or the rim. His outside shot is smooth and confident. Mehki finishes with finesse around the rim and uses his length and athleticism to get by defenders. Every time I seen him play this off-season he had at least +5pts, +5reb and +5ast. This young guard has the ability to really take off this year.

One of the more underrated guards in this class, he took on a big role as the primary ball handler for Desert Edge as a freshman. He made the most of the opportunity, showcasing his shooting ability by knocking down threes in a variety of ways—whether it was off the dribble, pull-ups, or catch-and-shoot looks. He also showed the ability to get downhill and score around the rim with tough finishes, high-arcing layups, and floaters.

A 6’3 point guard in the class of 2028, can score the three-ball in multiple ways. He’s not just a shot taker but also a shot maker. Mehki can create for himself on the perimeter with side steps and step-backs. He has also shown the ability to get downhill and use his floater effectively. A willing passer and a decent ball handler, he is sure to improve.
