As the 2025-26 high school basketball season approaches, Class AAAAA Division 1 is set to showcase a new wave of standout talent. Excitement is building as these players aim to lead their programs and leave a lasting mark. Here's a look at the Prep Hoops South Carolina Class AAAAA Division 1 Preseason All-State Team, featuring athletes ready to make an impact this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1982890' first='Colt' last='Fowler'] (Byrnes) - Leading off the Prep Hoops South Carolina Class AAAAA Division 1 Preseason All-State Team is [player_tooltip player_id='1982890' first='Colt' last='Fowler']. Fowler had a special sophomore year where he averaged a state-leading 11.4 Assists Per Game, while also scoring 18.3 Points Per Game. He was in the conversation for South Carolina Player of the Year last season, so it would be a surprise not to see him right back in that position. However, for Fowler and the Runnin' Rebels, their focus is on playing their best basketball late in the year and bringing back a State Championship to Duncan.

[player_tooltip player_id='1737994' first='Jaden' last='Johnson'] (Dorman) - Johnson is another exciting junior guard in the Upstate who makes this team. He has the chance to go down as one of the top scorers in state history because he crossed over the 1,000-Point mark halfway through his sophomore season. Jaden has an elite feel for putting the ball in the basket at all three levels, despite not having major size or athleticism advantages. The Cavaliers do have a guard-heavy team, but with Johnson taking all the important shots, they will once again be one of the best teams in 5A.

[player_tooltip player_id='2413313' first='Clayton' last='Everett Jr']. (Ashley Ridge) - Clayton is one of those players who you don't know how good he is until you see him live or play him head-to-head. He put the Swamp Foxes on his back on several occasions in 2024-25, leading them in points, rebounds, steals, and blocks. Even though he was in elite company at over 20 Points Per Game, he still was an efficient player who shot 51% from the field. Everett Jr. plays with tons of athleticism around the rim on both ends of the floor, so not only can he put up big numbers, but he can flash some incredible highlights on a nightly basis.

[player_tooltip player_id='1486213' first='BJ' last='Brown'] (Sumter) - If his stellar junior season, breakout spring with Upward Stars SE, or impressive fall league campaign were any evidence, Brown will be one of, if not the top scorer in the state this season. BJ's size makes him a near-impossible matchup for most high school teams, but it feels like he's starting to learn what the right shot is every possession. The window is now for the Gamecocks, but will the talented supporting cast settle into their roles and be consistent enough come February?

[player_tooltip player_id='1972148' first='Justus' last='Bell'] (Dutch Fork) - [player_tooltip player_id='1972148' first='Justus' last='Bell'] rounds out the Prep Hoops South Carolina Class AAAAA Division 1 Preseason All-State Team. Just like Brown, Bell's combination of size and athleticism is a nightmare for opposing defenses. Justus' offense is much more interior-focused, however, and that plays into the strengths of the Dutch Fork offense, which features a few capable creators. Justus is also a major weapon on the defensive end, and he's likely to push for double-digit rebounds and two blocks a game in his senior year.
