Expert Analysis

Going for 21.6 points per game, 8.5 rebounds per game, and 2.1 assists per game, there weren’t many who had a brighter individual season than Everett Jr. He put the Silver Foxes on his back throughout the season, including many times in the playoffs, leading them to the 5A D1 State Championship despite being the #7 Seed in the Lower State Bracket. Clayton now holds a D1 offer from SC State, so I’m intrigued to see where he ends up over the coming months.

Everett Jr was a key piece off the bench in Middleton Hoops Elite 17U’s hard-fought win over Iso Joe Elite. He had 10 second-half points, including multiple and-ones, which helped build momentum for his team. Clayton’s game is built around his length and athleticism, but he is a very smart player who knows how to move without the ball in his hands. He displayed this with several intelligent cuts to the rim, which either led to buckets for him or created space for teammates.

Everett Jr is another one of Middleton Hoops Elite ‘s 2026s who performed well on Saturday. Clayton is a long, slashing, off-ball guard who attacks the rim and forces the issue on defense. He showcased his two-way potential with an impressive steal leading to a transition and-one, but was in passing lanes all game long. Everett Jr is bouncy around the rim, finishes strong with his dominant hand, and has a good crossover to get past his defender. Clayton finished with 10 points in the game-two win.

Clayton is a prospect who has loads of talent and someone who I think can take the next step with a big Junior Season. He has a long frame and is stronger than he appears. Everett is also a crafty playmaker, a good defender, and showed good signs with his shooting. That is the main attribute that could really help his development if it improves in my opinion. However, the defense is a major positive. He can guard 1-3 effectively with good quickness, strong hands, and the athleticism helps him make flash plays. He had multiple blocks and steals in the matchup with Goose Creek on Saturday.

Clayton nicknamed “CJ” was able to finish in transition here today on multiple occasions for the Swamp Foxes. Clayton took the rock coast to coast and exploded along the baseline at times. He has a tremendous wingspan and the ability to score the ball from all 3 levels on the floor. Everett Jr is a rangy guard.
Clayton will look to lead the way for this Swamp Foxes team this season and Head Coach Brad Dobbels.

Everett Jr is certainly a new name for the database this spring and summer. Clayton plays at Ashley Ridge in Summerville. Everett Jr was able to stalk the baseline at times today with his play. Clayton shows to have good length and a willingness to attack the rack. He has a slender-sleek frame who looks to slash to the basket.
Good piece for the future of Swamp Foxes basketball and Head Coach Brad Dobbels.
