He was the more defensive-minded of the two, focusing on protecting the rim and cleaning the glass. Jayden continues to add something new to his game every time I watch him, and this time it was the passing. He connected with his fellow big man on back-to-back occasions that really flashed a composure and feel with the ball that is developing rapidly. Williamson is definitely one to monitor throughout the winter.

Jayden had a breakout summer in his first season playing AAU, but he is already showing new things on the offensive end of the floor with an expanded game to the perimeter. He also brought an elite motor, getting on the floor for multiple loose balls and working hard to contain the defensive glass.

Jayden is a guy who went from completely off the radar to Top 5 Center in a very short period of time. He had a real breakout summer with 843 Tough and Ashley Ridge, improving week-by-week without having an extensive basketball background. Williamson has excellent instincts on both ends of the floor, particularly as a shot-blocker and a cutter, so as he continues to learn the game and become stronger, the sky is the limit for this young big man.
