Levi was named Region 4-4A Player of the Year, along with earning All-State honors this season. His numbers might not be glaring, but his combination of consistency, efficiency, and a well-rounded game is what made him such a valuable player for Gray Collegiate. He shot it at over 55% from the field and 40% from three, and he certainly projects as someone who can help win games at the next level.

Like Brown, Ball is a Top 3 prospect in the state and has already announced where he will begin his College Career: Kennesaw State University. Levi and the Gray Collegiate Academy War Eagles jumped out to a big lead early in their win Thursday night. He was a big part of that, taking advantage of the opponent’s big zone with high-flying transition finishes and knockdown movement shooting. Ball put up 17 points on 3-4 3FG, earning an early rest in the game.

He came out on a mission in GCA’s matchup with Norcross (GA), looking as aggressive on the offensive end as I have seen him. Ball knocked down three of his first four attempts from behind the arc and finished 4-8, but all of his threes were smart shots within the flow of the offense. He also earned buckets inside the paint by driving closeouts, cutting off the ball, and setting up in the post. However, what was just as important as his scoring was his defensive effort on loose balls, on-ball defense, and 4 steals. Ball earned offers from Marshall, The Citadel, and Navy after his stellar showing on Saturday.

Ball has been a nice addition to the roster for the War Eagles since arriving the Lone Star State this last fall. Levi has made the jump up from #46 to #18 in this latest update of the 2026 Palmetto State Rankings and Stock-Risers.

Levi will play down in the post when needed for the War Eagles and Head Coach Carlos Powell. He does a nice job of sealing off his defender and crashing the glass on both ends of the floor. Levi will finish at time rim on putbacks and just outworking defenders at times. He looks to rebound outside of his area when needed and surely won’t hesitate at all when it comes to taking a charge.

Ball is averaging 13.1 ppg and 8.1 rebounds this season for the War Eagles (19-7). Gray Collegiate plays North Augusta HS this evening in the SCHSL 3rd Round of the Class 4A State Playoffs.

The Poinsettia Classic was my first time getting to see Levi Ball Levi Ball 6'6" | SF Gray Collegiate Academy | 2026 State SC in person after he moved to South Carolina from Texas, and he did not disappoint. Ball was the best player on the floor in Gray Collegiate’s win over Westside and went on to win Tournament MVP on Sunday. Levi is a defensive weapon and was used at the top of a 1-3-1 Zone and in the middle of a 2-3 Zone so that his length and mobility could affect ball handlers and protect the rim. He is also very comfortable with the rock in his hands on offense, displaying skill in shooting, handling, and passing. Levi tallied 15 Points, 10 Rebounds, 5 Assists, and 3 Blocks in the Semifinal win.
