Rounding out my evaluations from Team 4 is Jayden Lewis Jayden Lewis 6'0" | PG Gray Collegiate Academy | 2030 SC . Lewis is another Team 4 guard who played his way into my Five Best from the showcase, and he had a real case for being one of the best players in the entire event. Jayden had a fantastic showing as a shot-creating Point Guard, running the offense to perfection to find the best look for himself or others on almost every possession.

Jayden had an excellent day in Rock Hill. His shot-making ability was on full display, but he also showed glimpses of high-level facilitating that really had our scouts intrigued. Lewis efficiently created shots off the bounce, ran the pick-and-roll, frequently got to the rim, excelled in transition, and worked smaller matchups into the post, and there’s really not much this young guard can’t do on the offensive end of the floor. Gray Collegiate had a lot of departures in the second half of the summer, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Jayden have a bigger role than expected and play key minutes in crucial spots this season.

The first two names might be the hottest ones from a national perspective right now, but don’t forget the 8th-Grade season that Lewis had for Camden in 2025-26. He was the lone All-State middle schooler, averaging 14.1 points per game and 2.3 assists per game. Jayden impressed throughout the summer and will move to Gray Collegiate Academy in the fall, so he’s one to keep an eye on in Rock Hill this weekend.

First up on this list of the Carolinas’ Top Young Guards is Jayden Lewis Jayden Lewis 6'0" | PG Gray Collegiate Academy | 2030 SC . Lewis is the starting Point Guard for Maryland-based Team Durant and just transferred to Gray Collegiate Academy following an All-State 8th-grade year at Camden. Jayden had the offense running smoothly all game long in Thursday’s matchup with Bradley Beal Elite, doing a good job of making reads and getting his teammates involved. Team Durant runs a lot of ball-screen actions, but even when sets broke down, Lewis was able to create off the dribble, as well as get out in transition and attack a retreating defender. Jayden finished with 14 points, 5 assists, and 3 steals in the win.

Jayden Lewis Jayden Lewis 6'0" | PG Gray Collegiate Academy | 2030 SC continues to shine as one of the top prospects in South Carolina’s 2030 class. He’s another young left-handed guard who impressed with scoring all over the floor, including a 22-point outing against Spring Valley on Tuesday. Jayden’s feel for when and how to attack is unique for a guard his age, and he always seems to be in control of the game, while getting the shot he wants on every possession. That doesn’t mean he is only a scorer, as he also sets up his teammates for good looks. Lewis is a special talent and is definitely one to watch over the next few years.

The youngest player to make an SCBCA All-State team this season is Lewis. Despite being just an 8th Grader, Jayden was clearly an elite player from day one this season. I caught up with him in a tight region matchup with South Pointe, and you could be tricked into thinking he was a multi-year starter with how composed and confident he was. Look out for this bright young prospect out of Camden, South Carolina.
