Southern Arizona Showcase Second Team Defense

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Southern Arizona Showcase hosted over 150 student athletes from over 40 different high schools across Southern Arizona. Players were placed on teams and played in 2-3 games throughout the day. A tough two way guard with a strong motor. Picks up the length of the court and doesn't shy away from physicality. Rebounded the ball well. Opposing guards struggled advancing the ball against him. Very vocal. A vocal leader on both sides of the ball and a high IQ playmaker. Rasul was one of the top paint defenders at this event. Players made attempts to post up Rasul but his strong frame couldn't be moved. Blocked his share of shots and rebounded the ball extremely well. Anumba quickly made himself known. Moves very well and showcased his ability to guard 1-5. Did very well defending guards using his quick feet and lengthy arms. Didn't fall for opponents dribble moves or pump fakes. Blocked a few step back shot attempts. One of the top rebounders in attendance. One of the stronger on ball defenders in the 2028 class. A 94 foot defender who is a nightmare for opposing guards. Very quick on his feet and doesn't give up an inch of space. Forced multiple turnovers throughout the day. Reads the floor very well. He has every look of a next level player and impressed many in attendance this weekend. Gifted rebounder and shot blocker. Has good height and a wingspan to go with it. He uses those attributes with his athleticism to create havoc for the opposition. Bright is spending the hours in the gym and you can see the results in the past year. He got the crowd going early in the day with some impressive dunks. Extremely athletic. Booker had some of the best defensive footwork at the showcase. Very quick and explosive laterally making it tough for opposing players to advance the ball. Buena graduated many seniors from last seasons playoff team. A strong on ball defender who guards the length of the court. Very strong motor and can flat out go. Disciplined with his hands and came up with steals throughout the day. High level in transition and makes the right reads. High IQ in all aspects of the game.
