The highlight spotlight will on Black this winter. As he's one of the most fearless players in the Class of 2028. He has no back down when it comes to trying to protect the rim. And the same goes when he sees a chance to punch it home. But he'll be more than just a high flying prospect. The Knight is a quality shooter from distance. Those aforementioned traits give him a great baseline to produce now. How the rest of his game fills out will indicate just how high level of a prospect he can become.

Even on a team with experienced and talented upperclassman, the scrappy Bossell might be the key to getting Tulsa Memorial back to the State Tournament and competing for a 5A title. Bossell has the potential to be a dawg on defense. He can be a pick pocket of loose dribbles, or slide his feet and work hard to cut off the opposition. Offensively, he's dynamic slasher, who is a starting to get on the rims in transition.

Dixon is next up to keep the strong recent tradition going for Crooked Oak. Quality athlete from the guard spot, with good elevation and body control to make him a very good finisher for his age. His ability to take contact and keep hanging in the air is one aspect that separates him from other 405 guards. Allows him to be under control even when playing fast. Plays with the type of swagger that leads to him being an energy giver and playmaker on both ends of the court.

It's a new look Antler squad, but expect one thing to be certain. Witte will be getting buckets. After a year of sparring in practice with some of the top guards in Oklahoma, the sophomore will be ready to show of his bag that made him an exciting scorer at the 14U and junior high ranks. He has deep range from three, but is also capable of attacking off the dribble and finishing with either hands. There might some growing pains with the overall youth of Deer Creek, but Witte has the type of game that he should be hitting his stride after the semester break.

The future is now for Edmond Santa Fe, and a key part of the bright now is the athletic sophomore. At a recent exposure camp, Baba showed off improved handles. His handles are tighter, with subtle in and out moves to freeze defenders. He's also a classic transition monster with his ability to grab boards and go. A promising sign that his motor is ticking up. But he doesn't need a long runway to produce highlights. Even in the halfcourt he can assault the rim like he jumped off a trampoline. If Santa Fe is making a push for the Gold Ball come February and March, expect the development of the high upside guard to be a big reason why.

It'll be a team effort for Crossings Christian to replace their departed PG, Cal Furnish. But keep an eye on Buckingham to prove he's more than just a sharpshooter. This spring and summer, the Knight had moments of improved vision and handles. He looks to be a quick processor, capable of using no looks to keep defenders guessing. And he will find cutting teammates. He might still be more in the combo guard territory right now, especially because he can shoot the rock very well. But keep an eye on his development as a guard who keeps the Knights offense flowing along with his older brother and 2027 Sykes.
