Witte is a 6’2″ guard that has been playing at an incredible level for Southern Ties . Witte showed his athleticism and quickness at the Pro 16 League event in Norman, leading his squad to a perfect 4-0 record to finish off the month of April. Cooper controls games well and always seems to have a pulse for what tempo is needed and when he can pick his spots offensively. At only 6’2″, his athleticism caught people by surprise as he was able to finish above the rim in transition. The sophomore compliments his outstanding ball handling with a pure stroke from deep. His elevation and quickness allow him to create separation on his outside shot when being guarded by longer players.

Witte put a defender on skates late in the first quarter and nailed a three with the space he created. From that point forward, he was locked in from three. Finishing with over 20 points. Has the type of soft shot with great rotation that makes it look like every shot is going in. While primarily a sniper, he’s starting to have a gliding like quality to his movements. Had some solid takes and came close a couple big time acrobatic finishes. The type of finishes that if he continues to put in the time in six months, he should be nailing and would elevate his all around scoring.

Deer Creek picked up their first District win and the sophomore was a consistent presence throughout. Knows how to create for himself, by pushing longer defensive rebounds into transition takes. Complete with impressive body control for a still growing sophomore. Nearly got a dunk in transition. Shooting has been his calling card, which he did hit a deep one. But with his long limbs, he should continue to develop into a complete scorer.

It’s a new look Antler squad, but expect one thing to be certain. Witte will be getting buckets. After a year of sparring in practice with some of the top guards in Oklahoma, the sophomore will be ready to show of his bag that made him an exciting scorer at the 14U and junior high ranks. He has deep range from three, but is also capable of attacking off the dribble and finishing with either hands. There might some growing pains with the overall youth of Deer Creek, but Witte has the type of game that he should be hitting his stride after the semester break.

Witte entered high school with an impressive resume of winning at the junior high level for school and AAU ball. Now as the only freshman listed on the roster for the Class 6A State Champions Deer Creek Antlers, he has already added to that reputation. He’s a sniper from deep, with a skilled overall game. Already is off and running this spring with his new Texhoma squad. Should have one of the more productive grassroots seasons of any guard in the 2028 class.

Sniper! Witte is among the elite shooters in the class and over the next few years should be regarded as one of the best shooters in Oklahoma. Shooting is his early ticket to playing time, but has high level youth grassroots experience. Giving him a good feel for the game and the room to mature offensively as his high school career progress.

On a team filled with shooters, Witte was potentially the best. A sniper who can excel as a catch and shoot option, complete with a little bit of wiggle to create space then pull quickly. Along with the shooting abilities, was also one of the prospect who stood out by making the simple but right passes. Deer Creek is deep with upperclassmen, but pure shooting and good feel could help him earn minutes as a freshman.
