A true hooper, Gilstrap gave the defense fits all over the court. The exciting scoring guard has good handles and can dance a bit with the ball in his hands. But when he put his head down and got north-south, he was super effective. As he has multiple answers on drives. With a compact frame giving him strength and finishing touch around the rim. While also having a variety of moves to hit tough fade ways and other pull ups. Add in consistent three point shooting, the GRIND Prep junior was a true offensive weapon. Capable of single handedly carrying a team’s offense.
