I've seen Carter excel as a scorer in the past, and he still did on Sunday, but it was his improvements as a facilitator that really stood out. Carter is a creative ball handler who can get into dangerous areas while keeping his eyes scanning the floor. Against Minnetonka he was able to beat his initial defender and either score on his own, or quickly locate an open man if a help-side defender stepped up on him. Showed some flair with two behind the back passes leading to buckets for his team. Don't be surprised to see him breakout this winter as a junior.

Forming one of the best duos I saw on Sunday alongside Carter was [player_tooltip player_id='1560851' first='Hamze' last='Yusuf']. The senior guard is just so fast on the ball, and with Minnetonka's defense tiring out as the game went on, Hamze was able to get to the rim and score just about any time he wanted to. Yusuf does a great job of changing his speeds to make himself unpredictable on the ball, and he can explode to the rim out of nowhere. Quick hands to come up with steals defensively and get all the way to the basket for easy points.

This past weekend was the most dominant I've ever seen Jack play. He was demanding the ball on the block, and when he got a post touch he was probably scoring about 90% of the time. Jack could score with a quick left handed hook shot, showed comfort catching/finishing on the move out of pick & rolls, and even drove in from the high post into a two handed dunk. Also stepped out and hit an open three from the top of the key. Jack has always had size that can't be matched, and now that he's added strength he has the ability to be a dominant low-post presence for Maple Grove.

Great is a player who could take on a much bigger role this winter for Champlin Park. He has physical tools that you simply can't teach, as he's a long and athletic 6'5 wing/forward. Despite the loss against Maple Grove, he still impressed with his productivity. Great showed he can step out and make the open three when left in too much space, and was active on the offensive glass all game long. Runs the floor hard for transition opportunities and has the agility to defend a number of spots on the floor.

Reggie showed some new aspects to his game on Sunday against Maple Grove. The 6'6-6'7 forward has a strong frame with explosive athleticism, but showed some shooting touch out on the perimeter that I hadn't seen from him before. Reggie hit a number of threes, including a tough step-back with a defender right on him. He was also fearless going right at a 7-footer with a few finishes inside, and threw down a powerful dunk over the top of a defender in the second half.

Babou showed why he's being recruited by D1 programs across the country on Sunday. He just continues to add to his all-around game, spending time playing either guard spot for his team. As a faciliator he excels in the pick & roll, and puts the ball exactly where it needs to be to make things comfortable for his bigs. Can thread the needle with a bounce pass or lob it over the top with touch. Babou is an unselfish player, but when he wanted to he could create a shot and connect from anywhere on the floor. Connected on some deep threes, used his length to finish over defenders inside, and threw down three dunks against Champlin Park.

Anthony's scoring ability was a bright spot in a tough loss for Minnetonka. The lefty guard is a sharpshooter from beyond the arc, but has a strong frame and good footwork to take opposing guards into the post as well. Really like how he's added some size to his frame while still maintaining his explosive burst around the basket. Confident shot maker who should be able to improve upon his 7.3 points per game from last season.
