He sees the floor so well, and with his length is able to zip in passes over the top of defenders from just about anywhere on the floor. Against a long and athletic DeLaSalle team Collin did a great job of getting into the lane and kicking it out to his open shooters. So many of South's best looks were coming from the creative ability of [player_tooltip player_id='1560811' first='Collin' last='Johnson'].

It was a rough showing for DeLaSalle playing without their two best scorers against Lakeville South, but Deon was one of the bright spots. The 6'3 guard is a super competitive player who was giving 100% on both ends until the final whistle. He's an explosive athlete who uses his athleticism to pressure the ball hard, and finish at the rim hard. Threw down an impressive dunk towards the end of the game, while also powering his way through contact for a few more finishes throughout the day.

Santiago is now at Shakopee, where he'll look to fill in for some of the available minutes after losing just about their entire rotation to graduation. Against Richfield he really impressed as a shooter, able to hit shots from well beyond the arc, or beat a bad closeout with one-two dribbles to get into a mid-range shot. Does a nice job of handling under pressure as well. He's someone who's caught my attention in the past as a vocal leader and high IQ passer playing with [program_tooltip program_id='2075672' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'].

A big reason why Lakeville South beat DeLaSalle on Sunday was their dominance on the glass. A lot of possessions they ended up getting 2-3 shots by pulling in long rebounds or just tipping a missed shot back out to the perimeter. Nolan was a big reason for that dominance on the glass. Even as just a sophomore, opposing forwards have a hard time boxing him out, as he has good strength at 6'5. On the offensive end he did a great job of creating seals for easy entry passes from his guards, and could just pin opposing forwards on his hip as he powered his way up to finish.

Quinn made just two varsity appearances last season as a sophomore, but is someone we could see a lot more this winter. Even with a ton of talent around him, Quinn is someone who will fight for minutes as a shooter and quick decision maker. Against Totino-Grace we saw him hit a pair of early threes to push his team out front. Did a nice job of getting a defender in the air with a shot-fake and then side-stepping into a pull-up jumper with confidence. Made quick decisions when the ball came his way, and kept it moving if a shot wasn't there.

Everything looked like it was coming effortlessly to Babou against Edina. He was able to read the defense like they were in slow motion, and make smart decisions on what to do with the ball. The junior wing was maneuvering his way through gaps into the defense to get to the rim, got out for an easy dunk in transition, and showed comfort pulling up for threes when his man sagged off. As always he brought a ton of energy to the floor for his team, but was just as involved when he was on the bench as a vocal leader for this Maple Grove team.

Mason's outside shooting was a big reason why Edina was in it until the very end against Maple Grove. The senior wing drained four 2nd half threes, including a couple with a hand right in his face. At 6'5 he has good size out on the perimeter, and gets solid elevation on his shot making it so tough to contest him. If he caught you with your hand down, he was going to simply pull-up and make you pay with a quick three points. His outside shooting will be key in helping keep the floor spread to give [player_tooltip player_id='2126115' first='Vincent' last='Cronin'] some driving lanes this winter.
