LAS VEGAS — The Border League has quickly become a must-stop event for high school, prep school, scouts and media alike. The field is always loaded with Division I talent and draws a good mix of nationally recognized programs and more local teams for exposure to college coaches and NBA scouts. This year's field was stacked as usual and we bounced between Coronado and Silverado high schools to take in the action. Below we break down the best scoring guards we watched.

Cayden Daughtry | Calvary Christian (FL)

High-level shot maker both off the catch and off the dribble with deep range and confidence. Possesses feel and creativity as a scorer, using shiftiness to create separation in isolation settings. Comfortable getting into step-backs and pull-ups with rhythm and balance. Primarily an on-ball creator but shows awareness and timing as an off-ball mover. Quick release and deep range on his shot in a variety of settings.

Hassan Koureissi | Archbishop Stepinac | (NY)

Koureissi made his mark as a shot-making and creating guard whose ability to play on or off the ball lent to his perimeter offensive versatility. Flashed his three-level scoring ability with downhill finishes in transition, pull-up mid-range jumpers and catch-and-shoot opportunities from three-point range. Koureissi blends fundamental footwork and space creating savvy by playing off of two feet in the lane and being very poised when creating in isolation.

[player_tooltip player_id='1150824' first='Kaden' last='House'] | 2026 | AZ Compass

One of the best available scoring guards in the 2026 class. Fearless and dynamic shot maker and shot creator off the dribble. Deep range on his three-point shot and shoots it with consistency off the catch and off the bounce. Confident ball handler in isolation situations and uses changes of speed and creative handle to break down defenders and get into the lane where he can score or create for a teammate. A player who is unafraid of big moments and wants to take the big shot or make a play in a game-deciding play.

[player_tooltip player_id='2646501' first='NaVorro' last='Bowman'] | 2027 | Notre Dame (SO)

We have Bowman as our No. 1 ranked player in SoCal's 2027 class and his exploits on the biggest stages make us believe he will be a national stock riser over the next few months. The 6-foot-2 combo guard is a high level shot-maker off the dribble who thrives in mid-range settings where he uses his strong frame to create space from defenders with bumps to get a clean look at a jump shot. Bowman also uses his combination of strength and body control to absorb and finish through contact at the rim.

Taylen Kinney | 2026 | RWE (OTE)

Has the ability to control the pace and tempo of the game as a scorer, creator and game-manager. Consistent perimeter jump shooter off the catch and off the bounce, savvy decision-maker out of ball screen action, crafty floater game and finishing package around the basket. Doesn't over-handle in transition or half-court offense, will get off the ball to keep offense flowing and has the ability to mesh into a team basketball atmosphere.
