This weekend I attended the inaugural AZ Hoops JAMboree presented by Marcel Reece at the Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa. There were two brackets of 16 each with 32 total teams. I watched 24 teams and here was my rundown of the event.

7th Team

[player_tooltip player_id='2052364' first='Nitai' last='Buchler'] Tucson

A power forward with good skill and feel for the position. He will finish off tough layups in traffic and he is becoming more and more physical in the paint. He rebounds well with stronger hands and can handle it to create plus make a play for a teammate.

[player_tooltip player_id='2466364' first='Gabe' last='Coronado'] Millennium

A scoring guard with some size and a whole lot of skill. He will fire away from the three point line off the catch with a quick trigger and score with off the ball cuts, and can pull-up at times from mid-range. He can collect steals in the open court and score on layups and will make the extra pass.

[player_tooltip player_id='3010992' first='Kristian' last='Davis'] Millennium

A newcomer for me is a long and lean wing with upside. He transferred in from West Point HS and he is just scratching the surface. He moves gracefully from end to end and he can pull-up from mid-range and hit the three off the catch. He plays the passing lanes and will even front the post on defense with aggression versus bigger players then defend in space.

[player_tooltip player_id='1697293' first='Ryker' last='Hughes'] Sandra Day O'Connor

A power forward is a true rebounder chaser for the talented team. He does not have to have a play ran for him but still finds ways to be productive as his motor is always on high to want to grab balls in and out of his area. He has the ability to stretch the floor from the perimeter and score with put backs.

[player_tooltip player_id='2764046' first='Malachi' last='Jones'] Gilbert

Another power forward who is a true glass cleaner. He seems like a player who lives off the glass and will go up to score or often gets fouled and cashes in at the charity stripe. He missed all of last year with the double transfer rule and he will make a name for himself this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2734358' first='Cruz' last='Kazmierski'] Gilbert (Pictured)

The incoming freshmen has good size for a guard combined with a high feel for the game. He handles it well and uses his size to get downhill but he is a sharp shooter who can rattle threes in. He moves the ball like you should and plays within the flow of the offense. A rare freshman who will play ASAP at a bigger school.

[player_tooltip player_id='1323292' first='Joseph' last='Lindsey Jr'] Carl Hayden

A pure point guard was diming his teammates all game with ropes up the court and drive and kicks on the norm. He has real speed with a burst to get downhill. He also understands how to change speeds along with his big time handle to get to his spots.

[player_tooltip player_id='1986796' first='Peyton' last='Lubash'] San Tan Charter

A sharp shooting point guard was a little injured for the weekend but played thru the pain as a true hooper would. He showed off his next level court vision with some pinpoint passes and he created his own offense off the dribble with deep jumpers and pull-ups from mid-range.

[player_tooltip player_id='2107084' first='Adam' last='Medina'] Gilbert

A highly skilled power forward made the move to Gilbert from Williams Field. He has very soft hands to catch tough passes and will go to work from inside and out. He is a very good rebounder in and out of his area to keep plays alive and will go up with put backs. He will shoot it from the perimeter plus rip thru to the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id='1571924' first='Sir' last='Myles'] Casteel

An athletic scoring point guard who has the tighter handle and speed to get his own offense almost anytime he wants. He will score with slick layups in the lane with advanced body control, speed and athleticism. He will score with and-1's in traffic with contact plus hit the deep three.

[player_tooltip player_id='1759332' first='Dom' last='Rojas'] Central

An undersized scoring point guard is tough and fearless. He gets downhill with some burst of speed and simply plays so hard. He is a very good passer and he will give hard ball fakes and then get to the basket plus hit the three off the catch.

[player_tooltip player_id='2386977' first='Kyle' last='Speed Jr'] Gilbert

A tough and gritty forward is a two-way defender. He is also a phenomenal passer and brings an elite motor to compete. He consistently battles bigger players on the glass and simply outworks them for positioning using his longer arms, motor and athleticism. He is a tough competitor as he went down with an injury but came back 5 minutes and competed.
