Rugette was only a junior playing up in the varsity division, but you definitely couldn't tell. He seemed like the strongest and most in-shape athlete on the court in both games I saw him play, and he attacked the hole like no other as a result. At the rim, the lefty does a phenomenal job finishing with both hands and is quite excellent at taking contact in the air and still converting. His outside shot is a major work in progress, but the pressure he's able to put on the rim should be incredibly intriguing to college coaches, especially since he has another couple years to grow and expand his game. Relentless kid.

This was my first time seeing Te Ratana in person and I was first surprised by his size. He's a VERY long 6-foot-6 and doesn't move like he's that size; he's very agile on the break and looks incredibly comfortable in his body. He's an above the rim, explosive athlete with the ability to pass, dribble and shoot quite effectively, and he has a nice feel for the game. He consistently looked for kick ahead passes and was unselfish in his approach to getting teammates involved, but it's clear he could start dominating offensively at virtually any time. He should be on the radar of scholarship coaches and D1 hoops is absolutely in the question for him.

Rodrigues was a man amongst boys when his Team Sims squad faced a talented BABC 2027 team. The 6-foot-4 forward dominated the paint with his strength and athleticism by bulldozing into defenders for easy put backs and finishes on a number of occasions. He also routinely got out on the break for easy layups and dunks well above the rim while protecting the hoop on the other side of the ball. He found his three-point shooting stroke down the stretch of the game, too, which makes him an even scarier prospect if that can be consistent moving forward. Rodrigues should be on the radar of high D3 coaches because of his combination of athleticism and toughness.

Boateng was calm, cool and collected in Team Sims' win over BABC on Saturday. The 6-foot guard is incredibly skilled as a ball handler and uses his quickness and deep bag to burst by defenders at will, but he can also knock down the three ball and pull up for easy jumpers outside the lane. Though he was getting pressured all game by an athletic and ferocious BABC press, the junior guard handled it like an absolute pro and came out on top because of his IQ, unselfishness and patience. He will be phenomenal for Lexington Christian this season and can probably play at the low scholarship or high D3 level.

Njenga was easily BABC's most consistent playmaker and scorer against a tough Team Sims defense. The 6-foot guard easily gets into the paint with his quickness and speed but can also burn you from the perimeter with his three point shooting. He was BABC's best passer and also most confident ball handler, and he also competes like a madman on the defensive end. I think he's going to really turn heads for St. George's this season and be a larger part of their offense than people might think. Scholarship schools should be intrigued by Njenga.
