Juniors and seniors across the state came ready to prove themselves, and Team 8 brought plenty of standout performances. The Expo gave players a platform to show growth, test themselves against strong competition, and make their mark. Some used the stage to boost their stock, while others earned recognition with breakout showings. The energy was high, and Team 8 delivered plenty of names to track moving forward as they were the highest scoring team on the day, putting up over 90 points in each outing.

Franklin had a solid day and proved himself at the showcase. The game comes easy to him but he also stays aggressive which creates scoring opportunities. He also was pushing the pace and turning players over with active hands. He controls tempo, gets by defenders and finishing and also knocked down a few mid-range jumpers. He stretched the floor as a confident shooter. He rebounded, ran the floor, and finished plays in transition. Franklin's ability to impact the game as a versatile two-way gave his team a push.

Eschmann is a player who continues to surprise. He stands out in every setting that I have seen him in and this was another solid outing for him. He was balanced throughout the day as he's a versatile guard who knows where to be to be impactful. He can play both on and off the ball ,but he's constantly moving and making things happen. What stands out about Andrew is his ability to score at all three levels. He can put the ball in the floor and get it done, come off of a screen or be a ready for a set shot. His IQ and willingness to run lanes, move the ball, and defend made him impactful in every stretch. A player we've enjoyed all summer, Eschmann proved once again he's more than a one-day standout.

Mulloy is a player we wanted to see more of so it was great that he got out to the showcase and he had himself a day. Mulloy had one of the strongest 3-on-3 showings, scoring at will with mid-range pull-ups, contested threes, and aggressive drives. What I liked is that he did not force the issue, but rather allowed the game to come to him, and his teammates fed him because he was willing to pass and do the little things, and they made sure to return the favor. In 3-on-3 one game he went 6-of-7 in a stretch against a tough defender, flashing iso creativity. In 5-on-5, while the scoring slowed down a bit he still showed a complete game. He cut without the ball, spaced the floor, and even initiated offense. Mulloy's blend of scoring and feel for the game impressed as he's a player we leave the event very high on.

Borne dominated the 3-on-3 stage of the day catching fire from deep with a stretch of four straight threes. He's a player who's known more for his athleticism, so it was great for him to showcase an expanded offensive arsenal with powerful dunks and perimeter shooting. Although we didn't see him in 5-on-5, his performance early on stamped him as one of the day's standouts and a player who we see clearly has been working on his game. This was a great setting to get to for him, as I feel that he showed parts of his game that there were questions about. He was efficient, aggressive, and seemingly unstoppable in rhythm and that's something to build on.
