The best returning players from several of the teams in Section 4AA basketball are profiled today!

Concordia Academy

[player_tooltip player_id='2569255' first='Logan' last='Duis'] (2027, [program_tooltip program_id='2075685' first='Minnesota' last='Select']). Duis is an agile 6'3 wing that I think has a chance to take a big jump. He scored nine points a game playing with a lot of seniors last year and Logan should move right into a main role as an upperclassmen. Goes at the rim pretty well and already has two good years of varsity experience.

[player_tooltip player_id='2569252' first='Langston' last='Huffman'] (2027). Huffman is another quality junior for CA as they move in a new direction as a younger team (played a lot of seniors last year, have some good young players). Huffman scored a couple buckets a game as the 8th/9th man on last year's team and with so many open spots the opportunity is there for the 5'10 guard to play a big role.

Minnehaha Academy

[player_tooltip player_id='2436914' first='Kellen' last='Troup'] (2027, [program_tooltip program_id='2455790' first='Howard' last='Pulley']). The chance is there for Kellen to really break out as a star and a highly talked about prospect. At 6'7/6'8, face up skilled and agile, Troup has big potential. And last year he was one of only two non seniors in a nine man Redhawks rotation that made it to state yet again. Kellen averaged ten points, seven rebounds, two assists and a block a game shooting 45 percent from the floor, 70 percent from the foul line and 38.4 percent at the arc on four threes taken per game.

Malachi Snell (2027, [program_tooltip program_id='2075496' first='Grassroots' last='Sizzle']). Snell is already a two year varsity veteran plays with pace, plays with speed, and brings energy especially on the defensive end. He played his role averaging 3.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and a couple steals a game last year and his role should greatly increase. Snell will pair nicely with the backcourt transfers that were brought in in the past 9-10 months (Green, Cupito). Snell is a good soccer player too.

Mounds Park Academy

[player_tooltip player_id='2140673' first='Omar' last='Said'] (2027, Real Phenom). Omar is a 6'3 guard that scored about 14 points per game as a sophomore and should move right into that main scoring threat role for his team. His jumper is a big threat but he's also really good turning the corner on the ball screen. Can be a passing lane terror as well jumping mistakes.

Alex Larson (2026). A senior ball handler that scored six points a game as a 5'10 junior and moves into a two way bigger role that should help MPA win a few more games.

New Life Academy

Grant Clausen (2026). Grant was the NLA leading scorer a season ago at 13 points per game on a team that won a third of their games. Now Grant is a six foot guard who continues that main scoring role for a team looking to take the next step.

Evan Seaton (2027). Evan is a 5'10 guard that also scored 13 points per game last season although he did it as a sophomore. Seaton returns with Clausen and all but one other player from last year's NLA rotation.

Nova Classical

[player_tooltip player_id='2436922' first='Caleb' last='Taylor'] (2026). Taylor is a 6'2 guard that averaged 18.5 points and 8.2 rebounds a game as a junior. Shot 46 percent from the field and 36 percent from the arc. Described as a good shooter and a good leader for his team.

Abraham Brady (2027). A six foot guard that scored a couple baskets a game last year as a sophomore and will need to team with Kincaid Gerber to step up and help take some of the scoring load off the Taylor plate this coming season.

St. Agnes

[player_tooltip player_id='2860923' first='Thomas' last='Plasch'] (2027). St. Agnes played ten seniors last year and one sophomore. Plasch is the one non-senior that got on the varsity floor last year. He's a 5'10 guard and he will be the most experienced player that new Coach Bo Powell has coming back.

Mac Treichel (2027). Mac is a three sport athlete - baseball, football, basketball - that will be one of the players we would expect St. Agnes to look to from that younger level sophomore group to step in and get strong varsity time.

St. Croix Lutheran

[player_tooltip player_id='2414662' first='Colin' last='Avery'] (2026). Avery is a 5'9 guard that is the top returning scorer for the Crusaders and the most experienced player they will have. Avery scored six points per game last season and if you follow high school football, he recently scored five touchdowns in a game.

Isaac Garcia (2026). Garcia, Avery, Thomas Hermann, and Riley Johnson are among a group of juniors that helped support the starting five and they will now be a big part of the starting five. Garcia already has two years of varsity experience and he helped the varsity with a couple baskets a game a year ago.

St. Croix Prep

Logan Eiselt (2027). At 6'5/6'6 Logan is a skilled mid-range player that scored a dozen points a game last year. Good rebounder, should have a really nice career as an upperclassmen and a guy we have on notice as a developing prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='2708051' first='Ali' last='Akram'] (2027). Ali scored 11 points a game as a sophomore with his hard attacking style. He's also a very good on-ball defender and a reason we think St. Croix Prep should have a nice winter taking a good step forward with the junior class.

St. Paul Academy

[player_tooltip player_id='1858796' first='Ezra' last='Cunningham'] (2026, [program_tooltip program_id='2075674' first='Minnesota' last='Heat']). Cunningham is a 6'5 forward that had an outstanding junior season at 19.4 points and 10.6 rebounds per game. He followed that with a really good 17u season with the Heat that has college coaches interested in him at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='2052733' first='Ben' last='Sieben'] (2027, EAT). Sieben is one of four returning players that scored in double figures a season ago only Sieben had the highest total at 11 a game, and he was the point guard running the team. Sieben is another reason that we think SPA has a chance to be a top two or three team in 4AA.

St. Paul Humboldt

[player_tooltip player_id='2417208' first='Jakar' last='Rice'] (2026, [program_tooltip program_id='2075685' first='Minnesota' last='Select']). Rice is an active, slashing scorer that gave his team 17 points per game last season shooting 44 percent from the field and grabbing six boards a contest. Rice has a chance to have a big senior year.

[player_tooltip player_id='2418775' first='Fadil' last='Alabi'] (2027). Fadil averaged 13 points, five rebounds and three assists a game a season ago and the 5'10 guard should team with Rice and others working to be a threat to get to the middle of the league.

Twin Cities Academy

[player_tooltip player_id='2381647' first='Jacob' last='Stiele'] (2026, Minnesota Splash). Stiele scored 24 points a game last year as a sophomore and then doubled down on that bringing a constant scoring threat to the Splash in 17u. He is a player that can get hot in a hurry and change a game. Another player that we think could have a monster senior season scoring the ball.

Jamarrion Atkins (2027). Atkins was the third TCA scoring option last year at 8-9 points a game and now he moves into the role as a secondary scoring option as a 6'1 guard.
