This year 120+ of the state's best Class of 2028 prospects came to receive updated evaluations from our scouting department. We were incredibly happy with the level of talent in attendance for this great event. Let's dive on in and highlight some of the top individual performers from the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp.

DeRossett has noticeably gotten bigger. Not only has the left-handed guard grown to about 6'5", but he has packed on some muscle to his frame as well. He is still a good athlete and moves very well on the perimeter, but that extra size and strength should really help him take his game to the next level as a sophomore now at Fort Wayne Snider High School. DeRossett did a little bit of everything offensive at the Sophomore ID Camp earning top performer honors.

In terms of ball handling and pure playmaking there weren't many prospects in attendance at the Sophomore ID Camp that were more impressive than this 5'8" Carmel point guard. Golitko seems to have the ball on a string using a series of crafty combo moves to consistently get into the paint. He was able to score himself at times, but appeared to be even more comfortable setting up his teammates. It was a very strong showing for Golitko.

Portage High School was pretty stacked with veteran talent last season, but Kobe carved out a varsity role right away averaging 5.5 points per game. The athletic, left-handed guard played exceptionally well at our Sophomore ID Camp on Sunday and looks to be poised for a breakout season in what should be a much larger role. He has the ability to score it from any spot on the floor while also showing off legitimate playmaking traits.

Events like this can be especially important for small school prospects like Leonard. Coming from Class 1A North Vermillion it can be hard to evaluate just how good he may be because of the level of competition he plays against. Leonard was the leading freshman scorer in the state last season averaging 20.5 points per game and shooting an incredible 60-124 (48.4%) from three-point range. On Sunday at the Sophomore ID Camp he proved that his talent and skill can translate. He was one of the best shooters and pure scorers in the gym.

We are expecting Sunday's Sophomore ID Camp to serve as a springboard into what should be a breakout sophomore season for Moore at Bishop Luers. The 6'3" physical wing/forward got his feet wet at the varsity level as a freshman, but is now ready for an expanded role. His two-way versatility really stood out while playing with and against some of the best prospects in the Class of 2028. Moore has been ranked as a Top 25 prospect for awhile now and reiterated his spot on Sunday.

This 6'4" versatile wing stepped in right away at the Class 4A level and averaged 9.8 points and 6.6 rebounds per game for Kokomo High School. Another one of the highly ranked prospects to attend our Sophomore ID Camp, Nash came and proved himself once again against the best of the best in the Class of 2028. He is unstoppable in transition, rebounds at a high level, and can play above the rim at the end of his drives.

Rucker burst onto the scene over the summer on the Prep Hoops Circuit with [program_tooltip program_id='2847679' first='Refined' last='Indiana']. The 6'5" wing/forward is so versatile and athletic for his size. Now ranked as a Top 20 prospect in the Class of 2028, the Noblesville High School product came and showed out at the Sophomore ID Camp. He should factor into the rotation for the Millers this season.

There are a lot of minutes up for grabs at North Central High School this season. We started to see Smith gobble them up over the course of the summer and based on what we saw on Sunday at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp he could end up being one of the best players for the Panthers this season. The 6'4" guard obviously has great positional size, but also is a talented passer and can run the offense as a playmaker. He was very impressive while playing against a high level of competition.

When this 5'10" point guard wants to get somewhere off of the dribble it is very difficult to keep him from doing so. That is what stood out the most on Sunday at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. Thomas was consistently penetrating the defense, drawing multiple defenders, and making the correct read. His ability to find open teammates as well as explode towards the rim and finish was very impressive.
