The Tri-West Bruins have some real intriguing sophomore coming up the ranks and perhaps the top guy in that group is point guard

. The 5’10 guard is third on the team in scoring averaging 10.1 points while also distributing 2.3 assists per game, as well. He stands out for his ability to use his speed on the ball, both as a creator and as a highly competitive defender while also being able to hit deep shots, as well. A real electric guard.

The Tri-West sophomore class is loaded with talent and several of them played key roles at the varsity level as freshmen. Thomas was the most productive of the group averaging 9.1 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.1 steals per game for the Bruins as a freshman. The 5’10” guard is an explosive driver that can aggressively slice his way to the rim off of the bounce. His outside shot, 22-58 (37.9%) is definitely good enough to keep the defense honest as well. Thomas makes his debut at #45 in the Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2028 Prospect Rankings.

When this 5’10” point guard wants to get somewhere off of the dribble it is very difficult to keep him from doing so. That is what stood out the most on Sunday at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. Thomas was consistently penetrating the defense, drawing multiple defenders, and making the correct read. His ability to find open teammates as well as explode towards the rim and finish was very impressive.

, representing Tri-West High School. He stood out for his ability to use his speed on the ball, both as a creator and as a highly competitive defender. In the game I watched, he got hot from behind the arc, showing me he has the complete package as a guard.

There were five freshmen last season that got legitimate varsity experience for Tri-West High School. Among those five talented young prospects, Thomas was the most productive of the bunch averaging 9.1 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game. Look for him to take another leap as a sophomore and really blossom as a playmaker for what should be a talented Bruins backcourt.

Thomas had an excellent freshman season averaging 9.1 points per game for the Bruins who feature a very talented young core. It will be good to continue getting a better feel for exactly where he stacks up among the other best point guards in Indiana’s Class of 2028. He looked good recently at the IndyStar Indiana All-Star Gameday Shootout when we watched Tri-West play.

Tri-West has a talented young team and this 5’9″ dynamic point guard leads the way in the Bruins’ freshman class. Thomas is averaging 8.1 points at the varsity level this season while showcasing his ability to create his own shot and make plays for others. It will be fun to watch him, along with the rest of Tri-West’s young talent, continue to develop over the coign years.

One of several talented freshmen entering the program for Coach Tommy Strine at Tri-West High School. Thomas was a standout at Week One of the Metro Indy Basketball Fall League leading his team in scoring in the first game of the day. He is a dynamic playmaker, both for himself and others, off of the dribble. Don’t be shocked if you start hearing his name sooner rather than later at the varsity level.

At a smaller 5’8, Thomas was one of the more dynamic guards that I saw at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase. Real quick on the ball and can blow past the defense while also create pull-up opportunities. While he hit some deep three, thought he could have been a little better with his shot selection. Exciting guard to watch and has some legit upside for Tri-West.
