Our Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp is a newer addition to our event lineup, but it has immediately grown into a massive success. This year 120+ of the state's best Class of 2028 prospects came to receive updated evaluations from our scouting department. We were incredibly happy with the level of talent in attendance for this great event. Let's dive on in and take a look at our evaluations of the prospects that made up Team 2 at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp.

Crick was admittedly one of the smaller guards at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp, but that did not limit his effectiveness. He was a fearless driver and made good decisions as he got into the paint. In game two of 5-on-5 play, the Clinton Prairie High School prospect nailed a three-point shot from the left corner as well. Crick's ability to handle the ball and get Team 2 into offense consistently was impressive.

As we mentioned in his top performer write up, we were not aware of this Portage High School point guard prior to the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. The left-handed playmaker wasted no time capturing our attention and proving himself as one of the best guards at the event. Rivera lived in the paint consistently getting dribble penetration from the perimeter. He scored it in a variety of ways and made excellent passes to his open teammates. Rivera's two-way impact in the backcourt really stood out and we expect to see a breakout sophomore season for him at Portage.

We had several South Bend area prospects make the trip down to the Noblesville Boys & Girls Club on Sunday for the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp with this 5'9" guard coming from South Bend St. Joseph High School. Holland flashed his ability to play both on and off of the ball in the backcourt for Team 2. He was a capable ball handler and playmaker, but also looked good moving without the ball off of screening action. As he physically develops and gets stronger his game could take a leap.

Merrillville High School has a loaded backcourt in the Class of 2028. Jones really impressed us on Sunday at the Prep hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. It was his outside shooting ability that really captured our attention first as he hit a pull-up three-point shot on the right wing and then a catch-and-shoot three-point shot on the left wing. Jones also jumped a passing lane and went the length of the floor for a layup in 5-on-5 play. His consistent playmaking and shot-creation ability definitely was intriguing.

During 3-on-3 play, Minch finished a tough right hand drive at the rim displaying good patience and his willingness to play off of two feet. That strong base allowed him to go up and play through contact. The 6'2" guard from Scecina Memorial was also consistently active on the offensive glass. Then, in 5-on-5 play, Minch had another great finish off of two feet around the basket after he sold the defender on a shot fake. His ball handling ability allowed him to make several impressive drives to the basket.

Hunter stood out to us a year ago at our Freshman Showcase and doubled down at the Sophomore ID Camp proving himself as an up-and-coming guard in Lawrence North's Class of 2028. He is a quick, explosive playmaker who finished at the end of his drives with both hands up around the rim and made great passes out to his teammates. The vision that he displayed off of the bounce was very impressive and should lead to him being a high-assist type of point guard down the road. We look forward to seeing him crack the varsity rotation for the Wildcats at some point.

This 6'2" wing from Triton Central High School features a strong, athletic build. His three-point shooting stroke looked repeatable and clean including knocking one home in the second game of 5-on-5 that we watched. Moore's physical strength allowed him to play through some contact on the perimeter and absorb blows on his way to the basket. He had a strong showing with Team 2 at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp.

The strength and physicality of this 6'1" wing from Brownsburg High School stands out right away. He is a very good positional defender and rebounder due to those physical attributes. Offensively he absorbs contact around the basket and can score around the paint. Boone had a couple of impressive blocked shots as well from when defenders would drive it at him. He had a good two-way showing for Team 2 at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp.

Here is what we wrote about Gilbert in our Top Performers write-up following the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp...

One of two Top 10 prospects from the Class of 2028 that attended Sunday's Sophomore ID Camp, Gilbert certainly reiterated his placement in the rankings. The 6'5″ wing who transferred from Warren Central to Lawrence North High School is such a smooth operator on the perimeter. He shoots the ball at a high level, can attack closeouts, and floats to the rim to finish off of the bounce. We here at Prep Hoops remain very high on Gilbert as a prospect and are glad he was in attendance for our event. Look for him to have a big sophomore season for Lawrence North.

An under-the-radar forward/center in the Class of 2028, Barnard really flashed his upside at Sunday's Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. The 6'6" interior presence from Tri-West High School is very bouncy around the rim and showed the ability to consistently catch and finish inside. He scored on the block, from the dunker's spot, and on the rim run. Barnard's length and fluid athleticism at his size make him very projectable as his skill set continues to develop even further.

Nash, ranked #11 in the Class of 2028 by Prep Hoops Indiana, was recognized as a top performer following Sunday's Sophomore ID Camp. The 6'3"-6'4" hybrid wing/forward has such great physical and athletic tools. He is very strong for his age while maintaining a burst of explosiveness. Nash is dominant in transition, bullies smaller defenders around the basket, and is a high-level positional rebounder. He had a big freshman season at Kokomo High School but could breakout even further as a sophomore.
