Class 2A: Stars to Watch (Part 3)

An efficient three-level scorer who can use his strength to get to the rim or knock down shots from the mid-range off the dribble, Waller averaged 20.1 points and 4.4 rebounds per game last season for the Falcons on 46-39-81 shooting. He'll play golf in college at Minnesota State-Mankato.     A stat-sheet stuffing guard who can score and facilitate at a high level, Street averaged 19.1 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 2.8 steals, leading the team in all but rebounding as a junior. He shoots it well from the 3-point line, burying 37% of his attempts last season, and he can create plays off the bounce for his teammates.     Harris had a really nice junior season for the Bears, averaging 18.8 points and 2.5 assists in a breakout campaign. A quick, athletic guard who can knock down shots off the dribble, he buried 39% of his 3-point attempts and does a nice job using the threat of his shot to open up the rest of his arsenal.     Lane nearly averaged a double-double as a sophomore for the Cowboys, putting up 18.0 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.7 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game. He has a non-stop motor, competes hard on the glass on both ends of the floor, and sees the floor well out of the post, getting his teammates involved.     The lone notable holdover from a historic 2023-24 Underwood team, Luett had a breakout year as a junior for the Eagles, averaging 17.8 points and 13.5 rebounds on 64% shooting. An active, athletic forward with a nose for the ball, he's tenacious on the glass, an active defender, and great around the rim with either hand.     Evans is a talented two-way guard who put up huge numbers at Waterloo Christian (now Cedar Ridge Christian) last season before transferring to Waterloo Columbus for his senior year. He put up 26.0 points, 10.9 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 2.0 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game on 43-38-77 shooting splits for the Regents, and will give the Sailors an athletic guard with a great feel for the game.     The other part of the Regals' dominant one-two 2027 punch in the paint, Litton was fantastic as a sophomore, averaging 16.8 points, 8.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.7 steals per game on 60-45-71 shooting splits. He's mobile, long, skilled, and can space the floor, which, with his size, is a major plus.     A quick guard who thrives using his speed and ball-handling to create looks for himself and his teammates, Griffin averaged 16.7 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.2 steals per game last year for the Bulldogs. He sees the floor well and does a good job getting into the teeth of the defense and forcing them to make decisions.     Jirovsky was a really good complementary piece for the Spartans for the last few years, averaging 11.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.9 assists, and 2.1 steals per game on 54-45-67 shooting last season as the team's third or fourth option on most nights. Following a ton of losses to graduation, Grundy will be his team as a senior.     Another player coming off a really nice year last season who is in line for an even bigger role this season, Hoffman was a great second option alongside high-scoring guard Jackson Lieurance last season, putting up 15.6 points per game on 44-40-79 shooting splits. He's a high-level shooter off the catch with a quick release, and he has steadily improved and gained confidence as a shot creator off the dribble.
