On Friday, September 26th, I attended Babson College's elite camp at their campus in Wellesley, MA. They had about 24 players in attendance and went through some athletic testing, 4v4 and 5v5 live games.

Here is my first team.

Dasilva was probably the most dominant player at Babson camp. The 6-foot-4 wing got to the rim at ease with a variety of explosive dribble moves, and he elevated athletically once he got there. The junior wing led all players in both the vertical jump and change of direction quickness drills that Babson had every kid undergo, and that certainly showed in the 4v4 and 5v5 live games. He also showed a solid ability to knock down the three ball and get to his spots in the mid range and elevate. I could imagine Dasilva getting some mid to high D3 looks if he continues to improve his shooting stroke and feel for the game.

Gaddy was one of the most skilled players at camp and really impressed me with his well-rounded offensive game. The 6-foot guard does a great job getting to two feet in the lane and staying under control, and he makes great decisions for himself or his teammates once the help comes. He's also able to knock down the three ball and elevate for mid range jumpers. I also really liked his handle, as well as his ability to finish at the hoop athletically with both hands. If he can get bigger and stronger, which would significantly help his defensive ability, he could probably find some mid D3 fits.

McCullough dominated the 4v4 portion of elite camp with his shooting and driving ability. The 5-foot-11 guard is obviously undersized, but he does a great job using his quickness, change of direction, and head fakes to get into the lane and finish. He also makes smart passes once the defense collapses on him. The senior guard will need to improve his strength if he wants to succeed at the D3 level, but he does a lot of other things you want a short guard to do. He can probably find a fit somewhere as a result.

Handley needs to majorly improve his motor and effort level, because he's too often walking or jogging up the court or to a closeout. But if the 6-foot-7 forward figures that out, he could make some waves as a very intriguing prospect. The senior forward has a solid handle and can shoot the ball from three, and he also makes some really solid reads when the defense collapses. His size and length allows him to get rebounds and protect the rim at times, too. If Handley can learn to play harder, he has a bright future ahead.

Sheepo is an intriguing wing with good size, strength and skill. The 6-foot-4 senior does a good job using his physicality on drives to the rim and is able to finish with both hands at the hoop in a variety of ways. He's also a decent outside shooter and can handle it a little bit against bigger forwards and wings. If he can improve his quickness and continue to get more athletic, I could imagine him getting some fairly high level D3 looks. Sheepo's senior season at Lick-Wilmerding High School will likely determine his recruitment.
