Who are the top three pieces returning for all of the teams in Section 4AAAA? We have you those 24 names for you now!

Cretin-Derham Hall

[player_tooltip player_id='2126094' first='Ty' last='Schlagel'] (2027, [program_tooltip program_id='2455790' first='Howard' last='Pulley']). Ty averaged 18.4 points, 6.8 rebounds and two assists a game last year for the second place at state team shooting over 56 percent from the floor and making nearly a third of his threes. Schlagel's competitive level is a ten out of a ten which is why he is so respected.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560868' first='Joseph' last='Mitchell III'] (2026, [program_tooltip program_id='2455790' first='Howard' last='Pulley']). As a combo guard (and now a UST commit) Mitchell gave the Raiders 16.7 points, four rebounds and 5.5 assists a game last season shooting 44 plus percent from the field and 36 plus percent at the arc. Mitchell shouldered a lot of responsibility and helped his team to the state title game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126154' first='Julian' last='Smith'] (2027). Julian is the third leading returning scorer and last year we saw him as a starter and as a 6th Man. Whatever the role was, Smith gave the team an average of six points a game and Julian could approach double figures as a junior.

East Ridge

[player_tooltip player_id='1560882' first='Cedric' last='Tomes'] (2026, [program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota']). Tomes scored 27.3 points per game last season as a first team all state player. Cedric was both the main option and the main playmaker against defenses that were dead set on making his basketball life tough. Tomes is a Minnesota Gopher commit.

[player_tooltip player_id='2120491' first='Graham' last='Sanneh'] (2026, Hoop Habits). Sanneh took a nice jump this summer. He averaged 5.4 points a game as a junior but at about 6'8 with a stretch four game, his production has been more consistent both in getting to his offense and doing more things in the paint.

[player_tooltip player_id='2423121' first='Andrew' last='Tharaldson'] (2026, [program_tooltip program_id='2075449' first='East' last='Metro Bounce']). This 6'7 240 pound muscular big man was a reserve big last year and he will give Sanneh a chance to be a pick and pop four at times, and Andrew with Graham means the Raptors will always have size.

St. Paul Central

[player_tooltip player_id='2120500' first='Eli' last='Moseman'] (2026, [program_tooltip program_id='2075672' first='Minnesota' last='Fury']). Eli was the Central leading scorer last year as they won the St. Paul City Conference and earned 21 games overall. Eli had a nice July and looks like he could have an amazing senior year as a top metro scorer.

[player_tooltip player_id='2710243' first='Sefi' last='Whittington'] (2026, [program_tooltip program_id='2075496' first='Grassroots' last='Sizzle']). Sefi is a smooth scoring guard that I think will move from the third scoring role (13.4 points per game) to being an excellent two next to Moseman, and one of the better players in the conference.

Tesfaamlak Sturm (2026, Powerhouse Minnesota). Another returning double figure scorer for Central? Yep. Central won the league last year and with three double figure scorers back (Eli, Sefi and Sturm) and I think with this group, they can win it again. Sturm is a 6'1 combo guard that scored over 11 a game last season.

Stillwater

[player_tooltip player_id='2140580' first='Carter' last='Zollar'] (2027, [program_tooltip program_id='2075672' first='Minnesota' last='Fury']). Carter is a really, really good football prospect that's also one of the most productive players in his class on the hardwood. Carter was scoring 12.6 points a game last year before he went down to injury but the 6'4, 210 pound talent should have a huge junior year in both football, and in basketball.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140681' first='Owen' last='Stangl'] (2027, [program_tooltip program_id='2075310' first='Northstar' last='Titans']). When Zollar got hurt it opened the door for classmate [player_tooltip player_id='2140681' first='Owen' last='Stangl'] to play and the 6'5 forward did a nice job going from JV to the varsity rotation. Owen scored six points a game as a varsity sophomore.

[player_tooltip player_id='2121346' first='Henry' last='Percic'] (2026, [program_tooltip program_id='2075449' first='East' last='Metro Bounce']). Henry scored five points a game last year as a 5'11 guard and he should move right into a spot as a starter that is relied on as a double figure scorer and playmaker his senior year. A lefty with a good pull-up and a player that can got hot and hit multiple threes.

Tartan

[player_tooltip player_id='2560499' first='Kevin' last='Wilson Jr.'] (2028, [program_tooltip program_id='2455790' first='Howard' last='Pulley']). Wilson is a fantastic bucket getter, and I think that is the best way to describe KJ in a short term. He just had a big weekend at CP3 hitting a game winner, his July showings for Pulley were at 20ppg, and he was the most productive freshman in the state last season. Scored 17 points a game at Tartan last year.

[player_tooltip player_id='2560458' first='Emmanuel' last='Oyesanmi'] (2028, [program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota']). What we saw from Emmanuel last winter was an 11 point per game scorer with great potential. This year at 15u, Emmanuel found a level of consistency playing against a high level of competition. I think Emmanuel's ceiling is pretty high.

[player_tooltip player_id='2124212' first='Jaylen' last='Goergen'] (2026, [program_tooltip program_id='2075808' first='Powerhouse' last='MN']). Goergen scored six points a game off the bench for Tartan last year and he moved into a "do some of everything" role for Powerhouse this 17u season. He will board some, score some, create some, get some steals and just provide for his team. Also very familiar with Tartan transfers [player_tooltip player_id='2465512' first='Duke' last='King'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2119645' first='Tyrel' last='Pride'] who were also with Powerhouse this 17u season.

Two Rivers

[player_tooltip player_id='1560793' first='Lamont' last='Michaels'] (2026, [program_tooltip program_id='2075685' first='Minnesota' last='Select'] Mantey). Michaels was a main playmaker for Select Mantey after scoring over 14 points a game at Two Rivers as a junior. Lamont is a player that I think is a sneaky sleeper for the MIAC, WIAC and area junior college programs.

Julian Greer (2026, Real Phenom Snoody). Greer is a strong scorer that put up 13.6 points per game a season ago and he should make a dangerous pair with Michaels in the East Metro. This 1-2 punch has the potential for a big senior year.

[player_tooltip player_id='2121369' first='Martevious' last='Allen'] (2026). Allen scored 9.3 points per game last year as a junior and between Michaels, Greer, and Allen, Two Rivers has three of their top four players back from last season.

White Bear Lake

[player_tooltip player_id='1560749' first='Colin' last='Piper'] (2026, Team FSA). Piper is a 6'7/6'8 division two big man that scored 15 points and ten rebounds a game last year as a junior and had a really nice 17u season with FSA. Piper also made 36 percent of his threes as a junior and his 17u season earned him a pair of NSIC offers (Mary and Bemidji State).

[player_tooltip player_id='2140684' first='Preston' last='Crider'] (2027, [program_tooltip program_id='2075685' first='Minnesota' last='Select']). Crider came off the bench last season scoring a bucket a game and he was a hard working frontcourt player for Select at 16u. I think Crider will pair nicely with Piper up front giving WBL a quality frontcourt.

[player_tooltip player_id='2461603' first='Nicholas' last='Cardenas'] (2026). Nick was the 9th/10th man last year for WBL and he is the most experienced returning guard for the Bears this season.

Woodbury

[player_tooltip player_id='2835625' first='Muad' last='Abdulrahim'] (2026, [program_tooltip program_id='2075685' first='Minnesota' last='Select'] Mantey). In [player_tooltip player_id='2835625' first='Muad' last='Abdulrahim'] I think we have the best under the radar name that we will write about in these pages from the Class AAAA level. At least from the senior class. Muad is a 6'5 shooting guard that earned all conference last year averaging 13 points, five rebounds and three assists a contest. I think Muad could have a fantastic senior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2390525' first='Brendan' last='Fahey'] (2026, [program_tooltip program_id='2075449' first='East' last='Metro Bounce']). Brendan is a strong track and field athlete but he's also a 6'5 basketball player that I think could make a big jump as a senior. Fahey scored seven points per game as a long small forward that can shoot it.

[player_tooltip player_id='2419173' first='Ethan' last='Studer'] (2028). Ethan played off the bench last year as a freshman and now he will be a sophomore 5'10 lead guard looking to move into a bigger role for the Royals. Look out for Woodbury, I think they can be better than expected.
