Known for its competitive atmosphere and high-level coaching, the camp serves as a launching pad for future high school and collegiate stars. This year, several standout players from New Jersey made their presence felt, showcasing a blend of skill, athleticism, and basketball IQ that set them apart. With impressive performances in live action games, certain NJ prospects proved that the state continues to be a hotbed for emerging basketball talent. With a talent pool that also included some rising eighth graders, let's dive into some rising freshman and sophomores that stood out across last week's action at East Stroudsburg University.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='2504902' first='Jamieson' last='Young'] impressed in the different ways he was able to score the basketball. Young showed tremendous poise and pace attacking off the bounce and finishing strong through contact and with craftiness and nice touch in traffic around the basket. Known for doing his damage from the perimeter, Young was much of himself from three point range, knocking down open shots when given any ounce of space. Young also impressed with his decision making— more often than not making the right read off the bounce differentiating between when to score and when to find open teammates. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='2194627' first='Tyree' last='Thorp'] had an impressive showing over the course of Hoop Group's Future All American Camp that saw him thrive both as a shot maker off the catch out on the perimeter as well as off the bounce in the mid range area. Thorp also thrived at the PG spot handling the ball against opposing ball pressure as well demonstrating excellent court vision consistently advancing the ball up the floor. Capable of playing either guard spot, Thorp showcased his ability to be effective both as guy that can initiate offense and handle the ball while also being a threat as a shot maker. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">A talented left handed sharpshooter, [player_tooltip player_id='2305481' first='Jaylen' last='Lewis'] got in an excellent rhythm showcasing his ability to be an ultra dangerous threat from three point range particularly off the catch and out the triple threat position. Lewis was really effective spacing the floor for others with the gravity he attracts as a shooter, coming off different types of screens and pin downs to open up offense for his teammates. Lewis also showed flashes of his ability to create off the bounce, using his quickness in combination with his creativity off the bounce to break defenders down. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Doing a little bit of everything on the court over the course of live five on five action, Marcel Carr showcased his ability to be a versatile wing. Carr showcased an ability to knock down outside shots from three point range off the catch, handle the ball with poise against opposing ball pressure bringing the ball up the floor, and did a good job of putting pressure on the rim in transition and playing through contact. Carr also did a good job of using his size and length to crash the glass and rebound the basketball. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Capable of impacting the game both on and off the ball, Nickles showcased his ability to be effective on the ball creating for himself and as a floor spacer. Nickles showcased his versatility as a shooter, knocking down outside shots in a multitude of ways— off the catch, on the move, and off the bounce. Nickles also demonstrated his ability to attack off the bounce and finish in traffic with craftiness around the basket despite being undersized. A versatile guard that can spend time at either position, Nickles showed he can impact the game in more ways than one. </p>

On the offensive end of the floor, Suarez showcased his ability to not only catch and finish around the basket but also make the right read and facilitate the basketball to others. Defensively, Suarez demonstrated his ability to be a defensive anchor— being an intimidating shot blocker with great timing and anticipation altering and blocking shot attempts at the rim. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">A versatile combo guard, Corey Burnett demonstrated his ability to both initiate offense as a primary ball handler as well as be a dangerous and versatile shot maker from three point range. Burnett displayed great court vision in transition often times advancing the ball up the floor and finding open teammates as well as in half court sets finding dump offs and open shooters. Burnett impressed the most however with his off the dribble shot making from three point range, consistently burying threes off the bounce throughout live game action. </p>
