July is coming to a close as August is less than 10 days away. The 2027 class is looking to conclude their final varsity seasons with a bang, especially in the back court. Here are the 2027 Group 4 shooting guards who could have big seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='2344530' first='Noah' last='Perna'], 6'1 Southern

Perna has been playing at a high level throughout his varsity career and should build upon it in his senior season. The 6'1 guard has a good first step, which he uses to beat his defender off the bounce and finishes strong around the rim. Perna is more than just a shooter as he has a nice release on his jumper and sets his feet before he shoots. He is a tough rebounder and works hard on the defensive end. Perna is looking to conclude his varsity season as the Rams' all-time leading scorer and a deep postseason run.

[player_tooltip player_id='2858268' first='Sean' last='Perrotta'], 6'1 Bloomfield

Perrotta had a big spring and summer, which should carry over into the winter. The 6'1 guard has a smooth release on his jumper and can knock down triples in bunches. Perrotta moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open jumpers and layups in the half court. He is an underrated passer and slides his feet on the defensive end. Perrotta is a sharpshooting guard prospect who should torch the nets from distance this winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='2875239' first='Victor' last='Przepiora'], 6'3 Old Bridge

Przepiora's stock climbed during the AAU season and should move it up even higher during the season. The 6'3 guard has a nice first step, which he uses to beat his defender off the bounce and knows how to finish around the rim. Przepiora is more than just a slasher as he has a good release on his jumper and can get hot from distance in a hurry. He moves well without the ball in his hands and is an underrated defender. Przepiora is a lanky guard prospect whose ability to score inside and out will help his stock in a big way throughout the course of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='3544210' first='Reed' last='Flood'], 6'0 Union

Flood has the ability to play both backcourt spots, which he should put on display this season. The 6'0 guard has a clean shooting stroke as he wastes little motion and gets hot from distance in a hurry. Flood is more than just a shooter as he can also get to the rim off the bounce and can finish through contact. He is a tough on-ball defender and pushes the pace well in transition. Flood is a gritty guard prospect who should make plays at both ends of the floor throughout the course of the winter season.

[player_tooltip player_id='3557319' first='Derek' last='Roth'], 6'2 Central Regional

Roth has the ability to play either spot on the perimeter, making him an intriguing prospect to track in the class. The 6'2 guard attacks the basket with a purpose as he finishes strong around the rim and is unafraid of drawing contact. Roth can find his open teammates in the half court and has the ability to play in the post. He is a tough rebounder and uses his quick hands to get deflections on the defensive end. Roth is a physical wing prospect who should rip down rebounds and score in the paint throughout the 2026-27 season.
