At this stage in his development, Jaylen Lewis Jaylen Lewis 6'0" | CG/PG Don Bosco Prep | 2028 State NJ is at his most effective as an off ball perimeter shooter, and he once again showcased that strength on the second day of Philly Live. The left hander continued to display his confidence and efficiency as a shot maker, consistently knocking down threes with deep range. Featuring a smooth and repeatable release, Lewis actively hunted his shot, capitalizing on late closeouts and soft contests. Whether spotting up or working off a variety of screens as a movement shooter, he consistently converted on quality looks and seized multiple open opportunities from beyond the arc.

At his best and most effective at this point as a perimeter shot maker off the ball, Jaylen Lewis once again put his confident and rather efficient shot making ability, with deep range accuracy, on full display to open the second scholastic live period. Featuring a smooth shooting release, the left hander really hunted his shot, taking advantage of late closeouts and weak contests not only as a spot up shooter but also navigating different screens as a movement shooter to convert on a number of open looks from beyond the three point line.

A lethal three point shooter with a smooth and effortless release,  Jaylen Lewis Jaylen Lewis 6'0" | CG/PG Don Bosco Prep | 2028 State NJ  looked very much like his usual self operating as an effective shooter and floor spacing—consistently hunting perimeter opportunities and knocking down open looks from beyond the arc with confidence. The left handed sharpshooter showcased the fluid and compact shooting mechanics that allow him to confidently impact the game from long range, complete with impressive shooting range as well. Lewis ultimately demonstrated his ability to be effective both as a movement shooter and as a spot up threat, knocking down outside shots just as comfortably on the move as he does off the catch.

The left handed sniper displayed the fluid and compact shooting mechanics that allow him to confidently impact the game from three point distance, with plus range too— ultimately demonstrating his ability to shoot it just as well on the move as he does as a spot up shooter.

The left-handed combo guard has strung together moments that’ve also displayed his craftiness and creativity off the dribble—making smart reads in the paint that resulted in creating opportunities for teammates as well as finishing around the rim with craftiness and soft touch.

A dead eye shooter from three point distance with a smooth release, Jaylen Lewis Jaylen Lewis 6'0" | CG/PG Don Bosco Prep | 2028 State NJ exhibited his versatility as a shooter— ultimately demonstrating an ability to shoot it just as well on the move as he does as a standstill shooter. The left handed combo guard also flashed some of his craftiness and creativity off the dribble with different decisions he made getting in the paint and creating for others as well as different finishes at the basket.

It took some time for Bosco to adapt to life without Dylan Harper, the All-American and recent lottery pick who carried the Ironmen for the better part of four years, but the program looks to be in good hands with the presence of Lewis in the backcourt. A fellow southpaw with a similar slo-mo pace as his predecessor, Lewis made an instant splash as a freshman starter but looks notably more mature with a year of growth and experience under his belt. Having sprouted a bit and started to add some strength, he impressed on Saturday while gliding to his spots with the ball, primarily as a setup man for others. Lewis remained a threat to score himself, knocking down a quartet of 3’s while displaying a textbook compact stroke. His pace and skill level should catch the eye of coaches at the D1 level sooner than later.

An excellent floor spacer from the guard position, Jaylen Lewis Jaylen Lewis 6'0" | CG/PG Don Bosco Prep | 2028 State NJ thrived as a smooth perimeter shot maker, particularly off the catch. The lefty knocked down a plethora of open looks from three point distance. Lewis also shouldered some of the ball handling duties for Bosco’s offense, initiating offense some and setting the table at times for the offense.

A talented left handed sharpshooter, Jaylen Lewis Jaylen Lewis 6'0" | CG/PG Don Bosco Prep | 2028 State NJ got in an excellent rhythm showcasing his ability to be an ultra dangerous threat from three point range particularly off the catch and out the triple threat position. Lewis was really effective spacing the floor for others with the gravity he attracts as a shooter, coming off different types of screens and pin downs to open up offense for his teammates. Lewis also showed flashes of his ability to create off the bounce, using his quickness in combination with his creativity off the bounce to break defenders down.

Jaylen Lewis Jaylen Lewis 6'0" | CG/PG Don Bosco Prep | 2028 State NJ consistently proved to be a dangerous three-point threat, effectively spacing the floor and knocking down shots from the perimeter. He also showed the ability to attack off the bounce, getting into the paint to create for both himself and his teammates. Additionally, Lewis helped relieve pressure from the primary ball handler by stepping in to run the offense when needed.
