The Freshman Showcase gave the 2028 class a stage to make an early impression, and Team 2 didn't disappoint. This group brought energy, skill, and plenty of upside as prospects looked to prove themselves . Here's a breakdown of the players from Team 2.    Awareness on the glass, using perimeter box outs to secure long rebounds. A disruptive defender who gets his hands on the ball for deflections and steals. Offensively, provides floor spacing as a spot-up option along the three-point line.     Shifty guard with a hint of hesitation in his handle that opens driving lanes. Plays with an attack mentality and pushes the pace well in transition. Brings speed and energy on both ends, with active hands that create steals. Offensively, shows confidence stepping into the three-point shot.     Moves the ball quickly up the sideline to ignite transition and showed good vision finding cutters in the half court. Vocal on both ends, communicating through screens. Active defensively with a knack for creating steal opportunities.     Constantly disruptive as a deflection generator and active defender who isn't afraid to take chances. Showed promising signs on the glass with motivating rebounding efforts. Offensively, provides spacing in transition and looks to keep the floor balanced.     Showcased strong transition vision, accuracy, and pace, consistently pushing the ball ahead. Comfortable with a variety of ball-handling moves, including the euro step and hesitation, to keep defenders off balance. Offensively, displays touch from three, change-of-pace ability, and finesse finishes at the rim. Also contributes on the glass and has the poise to lead the break.     Defensively applies tight on-ball pressure to stay in front and force turnovers, while also showing help-side awareness to cut off drives. Offensively, flashes early signs of a distance shot. Shows coast-to-coast ability with the ball in his hands. An athletic freshman who impressed with his vertical, throwing down a one-handed jam in transition — clear bounce in his game.     High-energy wing with a knack for finding soft spots in the defense. Shows control around the rim with good touch and runs the floor well, spacing correctly and taking smart angles. Hustle shines on the defensive end, where he plays in a low stance with strong positioning and slides effectively with ball-handlers. Brings strength on the glass and a lockdown mentality. An opportunistic player who consistently impacts both ends of the floor.     Active in screening actions within the half court, also showing good feel in give-and-go opportunities. Finished a couple plays through contact and brought confidence on the defensive end with tight on-ball pressure. Made rebounding a point of focus to help his team on the glass.     Brought consistent effort on the defensive glass and stepped up with timely shot contests. Offensively, showed vision by finding cutters and added value with hustle plays in the open court.
