The afternoon games did not disappoint. It had both close, competitive games and dominant wins, making for some exciting matchups to come. Below are some of the players that had great performances to finish off the day.

[player_tooltip player_id='2831505' first='Averie' last='Armistead'] (2031) | G | Mac Irvin Orange

Armistead is a shifty, lefty, point guard. He is a shooter who is efficient from three. The 2031 guard can score both off the dribble and off the catch. He displayed great vision and the ability to make accurate passes with either hand. Defensively, he brings intensity that flows through his entire team.

Leshun Freelon II (2031) | G | Mac Irvin Orange

Freelon's games is super smooth. He plays at his own speed and doesn't let the defense control where he goes. He has a nice release that allows him to hit shots from the mid range and the three. Freelon has a fluid handle that allows him to get to his spots with ease.

Dallas Hardy (2031) | F | Mac Irvin Orange

Hardy made his presence known early. A big forward who finishes strong around the rim. Hardy is super active on the offensive glass, securing many second chance looks for his team. Defensively, Hardy uses his size to deter shots at the rim. He showed great versatility and showed he can step out and defend guards too.

[player_tooltip player_id='3581753' first='Emmett' last='Gorman'] (2031) | G | Hoopademix 13U - 1

Gorman has a crafty handle that allows him to [program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last=''] from multiple defenders at once. Gorman handled the pressure well, even with multiple defenders being sent at him. Gorman has a smooth release and can hit the three. He was super efficient at getting to his spots in the mid range and knocking them down.

[player_tooltip player_id='2835852' first='Connor' last='Lazar'] (2031) | G | [program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last=''] 13U Gold

Lazar is a pure shooter with deep range. He has a super quick release, making it hard for defenders to get a contest. Lazar was great moving off the ball, relocating to open spots around the floor. The 2031 guard also excels in coming off screens for catch and shoot jumpers. When teams run him off the line, Lazar attacks closeouts and finishes at the rim with a nice floater.

[player_tooltip player_id='2835858' first='Jett' last='Sullivan'] (2031) | G | [program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last=''] 13U Gold

Sullivan is a highly efficient scorer around the rim. He uses his length to finish over defenders. He handles the ball well and stays composed under pressure. Sullivan really impressed with his skills as a facilitator. When his drives got cut off by help side defenders, he consistently made the right read and found open teammates with accurate passes. The 2031 guard can also knock down the three when needed.

Zach Clayton (2031) | F | [program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last=''] 13U Gold

Clayton was a strong presence inside on both ends of the floor. He is a physical finisher who showed patience inside the paint. He uses his height to finish over smaller defenders. Defensively, he made life difficult around the rim and added a few blocked shots. Clayton was a key factor in his team's win on Saturday.
