The AAU season may officially be over and while yes, we are in a bit of a down period of the year, it does not mean that we cannot look back and highlight some of our prospects from the summer. For me, I will be narrowing down five players in the 2026, 2027, and 2028 class that stood out to me this past summer. Please note that is very difficult to narrow this just down to five as I watched hundreds of prospects from the state over the past few months, I wanted to look at guys that really caught my attention. Here are five guys from the 2027 class that stood out to me this summer.

A player that I have been high on since the first time I saw him impressed me even more this summer and his name is [player_tooltip player_id='2381200' first='Levi' last='Lindeman']. I was fortunate enough to watch the Bloomington North standout a few times this AAU season and what he showed me on the floor makes me feel he can play at any level. With his length, athleticism, and skill, the 6'5 wing can play nearly anywhere on the floor with his ability to score above the rim and shoot the deep ball. If you want to talk about breakout players in the 2027 class, Lindeman could be that guy.

Back in June I got a chance to see one of the better rising big men in the state that being 2027 Penn center [player_tooltip player_id='2140417' first='Makale' last='Price']. At 6'8, Price is a more traditional big that likes to use his power and strong frame to be physical underneath the basket and overpower his defender. For his size, he has great mobility as well being able to use good footwork around the rim on both sides. With an even more important role this season, Price is a guy to watch for Penn.

It may be a bit unfair to put a highly ranked player in the in the instate 2027 class on here, but I simply would be lying to myself if I didn't say [player_tooltip player_id='2266897' first='Kenneth' last='Lampley'] was not one of the more impressive prospects I saw all AAU season. After not getting a chance to watch him as a sophomore, the Pike forward had a strong summer with both the Red Devils and Meanstreets. His length and size are always going to be eye catchers, but to me it was his versatility on both the wing and block plus his rebounding that stood out. He is coming into a very important junior year for Pike and if he does what he showed this summer, you could see his recruitment really take off.

There is no question about it that [player_tooltip player_id='2141040' first='Brody' last='Baker'] is one of the best pure scorers in the entire and he showed that time and time again to me throughout the summer. Got a chance to watch him with [program_tooltip program_id='2076924' first='EG10' last=''] a few times and every time I got eyes on him, he was always putting on a show. He creates well on the ball while also always being a threat off of it with his ability to slip through screens and find any space to get a shot off. He has a chance to be the leading scorer in the state next season.

A up-and-coming big man in the 2027 class is [player_tooltip player_id='2140419' first='Max' last='Vise'] from Mt. Vernon-Fortville, who I was able to watch a few times over the summer. At a true 6'8, Vise has a ton of length to him which makes him dangerous on both ends of the floor around the rim. He plays physical around the basket showing nice footwork and strong finishing skills. You really have to like his mobility and potential to maybe extend his game out a little further. MVF is looking to do big things this season, and Vise is a part of that plan.
