He sees gaps well, has a quick first step, and then balances that out with some strength while splitting defenders and finishing at the rim. His ability to get into gaps can really open things up for teammates, and he can make some great decisions and passes off his penetration.

Woodard is a calm and composed guard who will take what the defense gives him. Has had some big scoring games this summer and is a kid you don't want to leave open behind the arc. And while he can score with efficiency, he's also relied on at Richland to have that steady play bringing the ball down and getting them into their offense, as well as making some key passes in the halfcourt to shift defenses.

A pass-first point guard who excels at using his dribble to attack defenses and create vulnerabilities. Walls is able to get consistent paint touches, whether it is taking his man off the dribble or utilizing ball screens and attacking angles. He's also a kid who can find space around the paint for various finishes and can stretch defenses from three.

Sanchez has had a big role at Sunnyside since stepping on the floor as a freshman two seasons ago. He's a high IQ player who can make others around him better with his movement, ability to draw up extra defenders, and quick decisions. Scores well in the midrange and around the paint with clever fakes, hesitations, and footwork.

A quick, speedy point guard who can really get up the court and aggressively pursues lanes to the basket. Stone has also shown off an excellent stroke from 3-point range this summer, and can strike quickly not just using his dribble but seeing the floor and moving the ball up with his passes.

One of the premier scorers in his class, McLaughlin has a smooth stroke that's accentuated by his court vision and ability to get to his spots. Just plays with great control and understanding of his positioning versus the defense's positioning to make good reads. That control and court vision, paired with a smooth handle, helps him affect the game in a lot of ways from the point.

Hunt had a breakout season last winter, scoring over 20 points per game and leading Lake Washington to an excellent year. He's a smaller guard who understands how to play with deception, change his speeds, and stay on the hunt while making good reads. Can score from tough angles and does well to set up teammates while defenses focus a lot of eyes on him.

Shifty guard who has been really impressive this summer. Can score from each level with a smooth jumper and some guile around the rim, but you can see with his passing ability and want to get teammates involved that his mindset is more of a facilitator than a scorer. He will be West Valley's returning leading scorer, but is a dynamic dual-threat point guard.

A lightning-quick guard who has shown time and again how his instincts, reactions, and aggressive mindset can create energy and momentum for his squad. He's continued to show his next-level playmaking by getting to the middle of the floor and keeping the defense at his mercy. Shot-making from 3-point has improved too, and his move to Silas should only help to elevate his role and responsibilities.

Maze is a highly astute and mentally sharp point guard who has clearly identified himself as one of the top point guards in his class. He has the toughness, court awareness, quickness, and shot-making capabilities to be a high-level college prospect. He should be in store for another strong season as he continues to improve his prospect stock.

Check out 10 point guards entering their junior seasons who are just as good at scoring the rock as they are at distributing it. These guys should be some of the elite playmakers in their class this coming season who can lead offenses in a multitude of ways.
