The Summer 24: Top 24 Players I Saw Across Arizona Pt 2

This summer was one of the best we've seen for Arizona high school basketball. From high-level match ups to competitive tournaments and invite-only showcases, the stage was set for players across the state to make a name for themselves. Whether it was at Section 7, the Best in Basketball events, or local team camps, talent was everywhere — and plenty of prospects made the most of their opportunities.   In the next couple articles, I'll be highlighting 24 standouts who caught my eye and made a serious impression this summer. Ready? Here we go.    His move to Arizona brought plenty of attention — and he lived up to all of it this summer. Played with a sense of urgency, constantly putting pressure on defenses with how aggressive and deliberate he was off the bounce. The moment he touched the ball, defenders were backpedaling.   Finished in a variety of ways — showed control in tight spaces, used angles well, and had the athleticism to rise when needed. What separated him was his timing and feel — picked his spots, kept defenders off balance, and knocked down shots when left open. In high-level games all summer, he consistently delivered — proving he's already one of the top players in the state.     At 6'11”, he didn't just rely on size — he showed real skill and feel all summer. Ran the floor with purpose, played hard, and stayed active on both ends. Once he got touches inside, he went to work — had a deep bag of post moves, used angles well, and finished with force around the rim.   Faced up and attacked anybody that was in his way — didn't matter who it was. Used a mix of strength, footwork, and touch to create buckets. Knocked down mid-range shots and made the right reads when the defense collapsed. Passed out of doubles like a vet and kept the offense flowing. Defensively, he owned the paint — blocked shots, rotated with intent, and made it hard to score at the rim. One of the most complete two-way bigs I saw all summer.     He was already on the radar coming into the summer — but he took things to another level these past few months. Made life tough on defenses with his ability to create space and hit shots from all over the floor. Moved well without the ball, especially slipping off screens into clean mid-range looks, and kept defenders chasing all game.   Shot it well from deep, made smart reads off the bounce, and scored it at all three levels with consistency. Took control in big moments — hitting tough shots, keeping the offense flowing, and stepping up against elite competition. His game keeps trending up, and this summer just added to the momentum he built last season.     Had one of the more polished summers of anyone I saw. Played the game at his own pace — never sped up, never rattled. Scored the ball with serious control and made it look easy. That mid-range pull-up was automatic all summer — one of the best in the state at creating space and rising up with confidence.   Expanded his game too — knocked down the three consistently and finished above the rim in traffic. Whether he had the ball in his hands or was working off it, he found ways to be productive. Just a smooth, skilled scorer who brought it every time out.     One of the top wings in Arizona — brings size, skill, and plays both ends with energy. Makes the game easier for everyone around him with his vision and feel. Sees the floor well, hits cutters, and keeps the offense flowing. In the mid-range, he's tough — can stop on a dime for the pull-up or put his head down and get to the rim, even through contact.   In transition, he's a problem — runs the floor hard, plays above the rim, and can stretch the defense with the three-ball. Defensively, he competes. Gets into guys, stays active, and takes pride in making plays on that end. Just a complete wing who checks a lot of boxes and played at a high level all summer.     One of the most consistent producers in Arizona, and he kept that same energy all summer. Put together multiple high-level performances and never looked out of place when the competition or stage got bigger. Plays with control — never rattled, never rushed.   Gets to his spots with ease and scores it in a variety of ways. The mid-range is smooth, the three ball is reliable, and he's more than capable of finishing at the rim. A true three-level scorer with big-time shot-making ability — and he proved it all summer long.     Built on what he showed last season and took his game up another notch this summer. Still had that shift and control, but now he's playing with more pop and purpose. His pace changes created separation all over the floor, and he made defenders work every possession.   Had a smooth rhythm to his scoring — hit tough pull-ups, got downhill with ease, and finished around length with hang time that stood out. Whether it was from deep, in the mid-range, or at the rim, he scored it efficiently and confidently. One of the more dynamic guards I saw this summer — and it felt like he leveled up every game.     One of the more well-rounded scorers this summer — and the three-ball was a big part of it. Shot it with confidence from deep and knocked down shots off the catch and off the bounce. Didn't rely on one area — mixed in mid-range pull-ups, got downhill, and finished through contact at the rim.   Showed he can run the show or slide off the ball and still be just as effective. Played with control, picked his spots, and stayed locked in all game. Versatile, efficient, and steady — he made his presence felt no matter the role or match up.     One of the top 2029 prospects coming in — and he made his presence felt right away this summer. Scored it in a variety of ways, whether it was knocking down threes, pulling up in the mid-range, or getting downhill and finishing.   Active on both ends and always found ways to stay involved — crashed the glass, defended his spot, and made key plays in big moments. Showed up when it counted and played with confidence every time he stepped on the floor.
