The DeLaSalle big man continues to show progress in a number of areas of his game. Physically, he looks a bit taller and leaner than he did during the high school season. Playing with [program_tooltip program_id='2075485' first='Gain' last='Elite'] 16u while also filling in a bit for the 17u team, Omar was working hard running the floor, and was able to beat opposing bigs rim-to-rim for some easy transition buckets. He has good touch around the basket, and rarely missed if he caught anywhere near the rim. Showed comfort stepping away from the basket and hitting an open jumper, but was at his best rolling to the rim and finishing on the move. Hard worker defensively who's going to move his feet to defend screens, and does a nice job of walling up to protect the rim.

Chase impressed in the stretch-four role for [program_tooltip program_id='2455790' first='Howard' last='Pulley'] 15u. At 6'6 he has the size to bang in the paint at the 15u level, but was more than comfortable floating out on the perimeter. The 6'6 forward proved to be a pick & pop threat with a smooth release from three, connecting on a handful of shots in the two games I watched. Long frame helps him protect the rim, as he's agile enough to slide into position to make plays on the defensive end.

Isaac had one of the most dominant first half performances I've seen all spring/summer on Saturday. It seemed like every time he caught the ball on the block, points were going on the board for Comets. He was too strong to be defended 1v1, and was able to bully his way to the rim for finish after finish. Does a great job of maintaining his balance through contact to finish at a high percentage. When double teams came he did a great job of recognizing where an open shooter was, and quickly zipping a cross-court pass right into their hands. Slid his feet to block a handful of shots as well.

Tyler had a nice showing on Sunday morning in a win for [program_tooltip program_id='2075485' first='Gain' last='Elite'] 15u. I didn't see a height listed, but Tyler looks to be about 6'4 with good mobility at his size for a 2028. With his guards able to break the opposing team's press, Tyler was on the finishing end of a lot of 2v1 opportunities. When he wasn't scoring in the open floor, Tyler showed good patience and footwork to catch in traffic, and create angles to finish over defenders. Strong rebounder who could high point a missed shot, chin the ball, and then locate one of his guards with an outlet pass.

Another 2028 stretch-four that impressed over the weekend was [player_tooltip player_id='2417382' first='Harrison' last='Walker']. Running with [program_tooltip program_id='2455790' first='Howard' last='Pulley'] 15u Percy, Harrison proved tough to keep off the glass. Using his strong frame he was able to keep possessions alive for his team by pulling in a handful of offensive rebounds, and then showing the strength to power his way back up for two points. Walker also showed soft touch as a lefty shooter, able to step out on the perimeter and make opposing forwards pay for leaving him in too much space.

[player_tooltip player_id='2388499' first='Anthony' last='Byrd'] continued to show his intriguing potential as a 6'7 forward. He handles the ball in ways not many guys his size can, able to weave through defenders in the open floor, or beat opposing forwards off the dribble in half-court sets. He catches a lot of guys off-guard with how quickly he can change directions at his size, and that agility also helps him defend smaller players on the other end. In the game I watched Anthony stretched the floor with a couple of jumpers, recovered to swat a few shots at the rim, and showed finishing touch off the drive.

Nathan is an active forward who was running the floor hard, defending a number of spots on the floor, and found a number of ways to put points on the board. Nathan was crashing the glass hard for put-back buckets, and showed a nice face up game with the ability to knock down short/mid-range jumpers with a hand in his face. Showed the athleticism at 6'4 to defend against opposing forwards or out on the perimeter against wings.
