Grandview has a group that plays hard and goes out and gets after it. One of those standouts on the weekend was [player_tooltip player_id='2423327' first='Obi' last='Morris']. Obi is a guard who does the small things. He competes defensively, takes care of the ball and does not force plays. He lets the game come to him but also found ways to get out in transition and score. Obi also knocked down a couple of 3-pointers to provide spacing, and is a guard that will have to find that balance this season. A solid weekend for him to get on people's radars.

Evo is a confident PG that allows Northfield's game to flourish. He shoots the ball well, finishing amongst the trees, and I loved the way that he reads and navigates screens. As a more undersized guard, his ability to come off those with smart-reads for either a dump, kickout, or finish is what separated him all weekend, and he was one of my favorite players to watch on the weekend. He was a consistent scorer, made the right passes, and controlled tempo, and I feel as if Northfield will go as he allows them this year. I loved what I saw from this true point and know that he is a player who will only continue to rise.

Hudgins was one of the most unique guards on the weekend due to his size. At 6'4, he has a slower yet methodical approach to running the offense, but he was never sped up. He dominated as the lead guard for Legend and will be their best player this year. He did a bit of everything. He finished inside, stepped out, and hit shots, and also used deception to find the right player. He was scoring with ease and was near a double-double in every game that he played. He's a high-IQ guard with upside, and his ability to do that with his size had him as one of my favorite watches on the weekend. It was a stock-boosting weekend for him as he proved that he belongs.

This Ralston Valley team was one of my favorites to watch on the weekend. It is an unselfish bunch that makes the extra pass, and it is full of high-IQ ball. Frank fit right into that as he played under control, took care of the ball, and was aggressive for the weekend. He was attacking off the dribble, knocking down open looks, and also got inside and finished over smaller defenders. He looked outstanding on Day 2 as a versatile shooter with range. If he's able to stay consistent, he will be a player that Ralson Valley relies on this year as they look to make a good push and showed that he's ready for a solid senior season.

Dotson was a guard that we were excited to watch heading into the event, as the only underclassman for a Senior-heavy GW team, and he did not disappoint. He competed on both ends of the floor, turning offense to defense, and got out in transition for easy finishes. Offensively, he plays at his own pace as a player who excels in iso situations, attacks mismatches, and uses his handle to free himself up. He was also consistently lining up the 3-ball and knocking them down. He plays under control, gets downhill and finishes, and spaces the floor, and that versatility is why he is one of the best players in the class. Solid outing for him.

Hansen was not a player that we knew too much about heading into the event, but loved coming out of it because he plays winning basketball, as he is a very unselfish player. Hansen does what is best for the team and is ready for the moment. Ralston Valley plays a brand of basketball that not many other teams play, but he is one of the willing players to put the ball onto the floor and opens up the defense, and that works seamlessly for them. He shot the ball well, can play on and off the ball, and rebounded well as he boxes out and battles with bigger players. He competes on both ends of the floor and plays above his size, and that kind of play is contagious.

Spears entered Colorado Live as one of the top 2028 prospects in the state and backed it up with a standout weekend. He put together dynamic scoring stretches, showcasing his ability to create off the dribble and score at all three levels. Whether hitting threes, floaters, or mid-range pull-ups, he was locked in. He moves well without the ball, reads the game maturely, and plays beyond his years. Spears is a high-upside guard with star potential, and in the game of the weekend against Rangeview, he was the difference-maker in the game as he was all weekend.
