Psaute finished with 18 points, but what really stood out was the way he scored and created plays for his team. He was constantly active, moving without the ball, cutting, and positioning himself in the right spot at the right time. Whether finishing around the rim or hitting timely shots, he found a way to impact the game. His energy, awareness and ability to make the right play consistently set him apart and made him a reliable and dynamic presence on the floor

Psaute doesn’t always get the recognition he deserves but is the engine that makes Ralston Valley go, and he’s poised to be the driving force of their offense this season. As the lead guard, everything flows through him and for good reason. His vision is sharp, his feel is natural and his ability to dissect defenses keeps opponents on their heels. With a quick first step, he blows by defenders and creates immediate pressure, whether finishing himself or kicking to open teammates. Add in a reliable shot and constant pace, and Psaute becomes the kind of point guard who elevates everyone around him

Frank put up 8 points, and 3.4 boards a game, which he served as a glue guy and catalyst for the team. He also led the team with 2.4 steals, and he’s as steady as they come. We saw him all summer scoring in bunches and impacting both ends, and have high expectations for him. He’s probably a bit underrated, but starting to make moves, plays the right way, and the offense runs through him at times. With his ability to score, rebound, defend, and force turnovers into buckets, he’s a real candidate for college attention this season. He’s a player who should be on many radars and makes a rise in the rankings.

Frank was one of the top prospects on the weekend, and it was a welcome surprise for his team, but it goes to show you how he will be looked at this season. His consistency stood out in every game. Ralston Valley will lean on him heavily this season, and he has to be ready to take on that role. His 3-ball was on display as it always is with this group, but his decision-making and poise were just as noticeable. He had 15 points vs. a hard-playing Denver South squad, then 18 points against a tough Chaparral team. This wasn’t simply a role player showing flashes. This is a player they’ll need to feature.

This Ralston Valley team was one of my favorites to watch on the weekend. It is an unselfish bunch that makes the extra pass, and it is full of high-IQ ball. Frank fit right into that as he played under control, took care of the ball, and was aggressive for the weekend. He was attacking off the dribble, knocking down open looks, and also got inside and finished over smaller defenders. He looked outstanding on Day 2 as a versatile shooter with range. If he’s able to stay consistent, he will be a player that Ralson Valley relies on this year as they look to make a good push and showed that he’s ready for a solid senior season.

Psaute brings sneaky athleticism, getting up at the rim for putbacks or shot contests. A high motor guard who competes every possession for second chance opportunities, his impact will play a crucial role for this group’s success on the margins. Contributing to numerous plays that do not fall into the box score, Psaute has carved out a serviceable role that will lend itself value at the college level as well. Of course, Psaute is still a knockdown perimeter shooter, nailing jumpers off the catch along the secondary break.

Psaute never fails to provide energy, always in play for rebounds and loose balls. His activity created numerous second chance opportunities, oftentimes provided by timely kickouts. Psaute provided plenty of value at the point of attack, with quick hands to deflect immediate passes. Alternatively, his three point shot was a constant, a dependable floor spacer without needing much space at all.

Psaute has been an immediate riser for both Ralston Valley and B & B Academy, bringing a high IQ with the ball. Adept as a secondary playmaker, the guard picks apart open space to maximize his opportunities versus the opposing defense. He brings a bit more verticality than one would expect, capable of surveying the floor quickly on jump passes, often for dump off passes at the basket. Already a consistent spot-up three point shooter, the guard is truly excellent in a wide variety of roles, a high floor role player for a likely title contender next season.
