The summer of AAU is winding down as we head towards the end of July and man, what a summer it was for our in-state prospects. We had a host of players in every age group breakout and put their names on a bunch of college coaches radars at nearly all levels. With the summer coming towards an end, I thought it would be a great opportunity for us to take a look at 10 players from the guard, wings, and bigs that I feel should generate more interest when it comes to their recruitment. For this one, we take a look at our first five 2026 bigs whose recruitment should boost up a little bit.

There may not be a big with as much potential as what [player_tooltip player_id='1560969' first='Tyler' last='Crews'] because when you are a legit 7-footer, the sky is the limit for you on the basketball floor. Crews has had a good summer with Meanstreets 17u and has a chance to be one of the top breakout stars for Gary West this upcoming high school season. A guy that has good mobility and finishes around the rim, schools at all levels should be keeping tabs on Crews.

Arguably the top big that plays the hardest on the floor in the 2026 class, Akase is another post man that has potential to be a really good at the next level. Being relentless on the glass, Akase has double-double upside every time he steps on the floor. He is a smaller college level guy probably, but what a steal he could be for any school just on his size and motor alone.

Dokes may be a player that could easily get forgotten about on the floor due to playing behind four-star center [player_tooltip player_id='2266896' first='Isaiah' last='Hill'], but do not be fooled, Dokes is one of the top big men we have in the 2026 class. Dokes is a physically strong player that is so efficient around the basket as a scorer. He plays with high fundamentals and does his job on the floor.

Another big man that can maybe get a little overlooked just from the guy he plays alongside of, the 6'6 power forward out of Southport is a legit force in the front court. Lloyd has got all the athletic and physical tools you would want out of front court player who is also an elite, versatile defender as well. He has been a stock riser this summer and one the smaller schools need to keep an eye on his senior year.

A new name on our radar that has made an impact this summer and will certainly do so at Ben Davis this year is [player_tooltip player_id='2828525' first='Prince' last='Anga']. Anga makes a case as the best pure rebounder in the 2026 class with his massive frame in the post. He is a load to handle in the paint on both ends of the floor and has caught the attention of many college coaches.
