- Arguably the top big that plays the hardest on the floor in the 2026 class, Akase is another post man that has potential to be a really good at the next level. Being relentless on the glass, Akase has double-double upside every time he steps on the floor. He is a smaller college level guy probably, but what a steal he could be for any school just on his size and motor alone.

You never have to worry about effort when Akase is on the court. The 6’6″ big man always plays hard, is a physical presence around the basket, and is a very willing rebounder. On Thursday afternoon we watched him dominate the interior as Indiana Select 17u pulled away for a 25-point victory. Akase finished with 14 points and 7 rebounds in the game. He finished at a high percentage and was relentless on the glass going to get the ball with two hands outside of his area.

Akase is a big time rebounder with the strength, athletic ability, and motor necessary to dominate around the basket. The 6’6″ Tippecanoe Valley High School star averaged 13.6 points and 8.2 rebounds per game as a sophomore. He gets a lot done right now by playing harder and being more physical than his peers.

Akase is a 6’6″ center that came over to Tippecanoe Valley by way of Nigeria and has shown loads of upside ever since. He is still an extremely raw post prospect but you can tell there is the upside twith his size. His rebounding ability, as well as how he defends around the rim, is at a really high-level for his age. Still has some work to do in his overall game, but this could be a breakout season for him if he is able to turn it up a notch.

This 6’6″ center burst onto the scene as a freshman at Tippecanoe Valley and was a big part, no pun intended, to OPS Kindschy’s success this summer on the Prep Hoops Circuit. Akase solidified himself as a first team honoree on Saturday evening with a 21-point, 19-rebound performance in a 56-50 win over Vikings United to help advance his team to the Final Four. His size and strength inside, paired with impressive mobility, make him so hard to stop at his young age. You’ll be hearing a lot of his name in the coming years.
