Here are my class of 2026 summer superlatives.

Best shooter: [player_tooltip player_id='2341371' first='Chase' last='Geremia']. He's a complete knock down shooter who can do it off of movement and from a standstill position. It's hard to argue that anyone in the region is as consistent and impressive from the three point line as the rising Newman junior. Furthermore, he has actually added elements to his game as of recent, most notable some strong defense and the ability to attack the offensive glass with athleticism and fight. He's a D1 guy, if not only for his shooting ability. Absolute sniper.

Best passer: [player_tooltip player_id='2874981' first='John' last='Spinoso']. Sure, it might not be flashy. But the rising senior makes the right play again and again and has very impressive vision. He sees backdoor cuts, kickouts, and kick ahead passes, and he's willing to make the simple play despite it not showing up in the stats. He also does a good job utilizing his size and strength at the high post to be an offensive hub, which really opens up his passing vision. He's going to have a field day at Cheshire Academy this season with the amount of talent he has alongside him.

Most fun player to watch: [player_tooltip player_id='2465117' first='Ryan' last='Moesch']. He's the only right answer here. I was enamored with Moesch the first time I saw him and nothing has changed since. The rhythm and bounce to his game is so fun to watch and his feel for the game is far superior to any player in New England in the 2026 class. On any given offensive possession, the rising senior can make a big time play for himself or his teammates, and his athleticism is just the cherry on the top. He's an absolute stud who I think should be getting a lot more high major looks than he is.

Most physically imposing: [player_tooltip player_id='2341363' first='Alex' last='Egbuonu']. It's hard for anyone else to compete physically with Lawrence Academy's star rising senior. The 6-foot-7 forward has great athletic ability on the break; he has solid leaping ability and strength, but also the agility and body control to finish against bigger and stronger defenders. And if you put a smaller guy on him, he'll maneuver his his way into the paint via brute toughness and strength. He has a body that's college ready right now.

Most underrated: [player_tooltip player_id='2341362' first='Jayden' last='Harrington']. Harrington will always be the slow wing in some people's eyes. But what they don't understand is that his skillset is far beyond his years. He's always shot-ready on the catch, and he's an offensive savant when it comes to making the right play, even if it doesn't show up in the stats. He strokes it from three, and we've always known that. Now, however, he seems to have improved his off-the-dribble game and should be able to add more on the offensive end than he has in the past. I LOVE Harrington and think D1 coaches should be all over him.

Coach's dream: [player_tooltip player_id='2341422' first='Alex' last='Gordon']. Gordon is a low-mistake, high efficiency point guard who will run your offense at an incredibly high level. Despite his lack of size, he handles defensive ball pressure very well and can handle the rock with the best of them. He doesn't have an offensive weakness and is incredibly communicative on the floor when it comes to getting his teammates in the right spot. I don't know how many scholarship schools are looking at Gordon, but I would certainly view him as a guy who can run a squad and be a PG at the D1 or D2 level.
