I truly cannot get enough of Spinoso’s game. No matter how many points he scores or what he puts up in the box score, the 6-foot-5 forward makes winning plays for his team. He might be the best passer in the NEPSAC and is constantly getting his teammates open looks via dribble hand offs, crushing screens, and heady backdoor feeds. He just has an uncanny feel for cutters and throws on-time, on-target passes while deceiving the defense with ball and head fakes. If you don’t bring help, Spinoso can bully you in the paint and make turnaround shots with both hands. He is a coach’s and teammate’s dream and I wish I could go back in time to my playing days to suit up with him.

Committed to: Trinity College
Everything about Spinoso is absolutely perfect for the NESCAC. The 6-foot-5 forward is obviously undersized for the big man position, but I’ve seen him defend his behind off against far larger players enough times to know that he can do it at the college level, even in the best conference in the country. Offensively, he has massively improved his three point shot and is one of the better passers and playmakers at the front court position in the entire NEPSAC. Spinoso is going to Trinity, one of the best D3 teams in the country, but I think he’ll be hard to keep off the court because of all the little things he does and how much of a ball connector he is offensively.

Spinoso is a rugged forward who has no problem finding different ways to get into the mix of the game. He is active on the boards. Moves well as an off-ball slasher and effective being a pin-down man. He thrives in Cheshire’s positionless style.

Spinoso continues to be one of my favorite players to watch in the region. The 6-foot-5 wing can play the forward position because of his incredible strength and IQ, and I love everything he brings offensively. He won’t wow you with athleticism, but he’s a phenomenal passer with unselfishness up the wazoo—he’s always finding teammates for wide open shots. His three pointer looks improved, too, and he should have a great career at Trinity starting next year.

+26 (#116 to #90)
Spinoso will always be one of my favorite players in New England, and college coaches at the scholarship level are finally starting to come around. The 6-foot-5 wing/big man is undersized, but his strength and toughness allows him to guard up and contend with plodding bigs — he’s one of the best post defenders for his size out there. However, he has the quickness and agility offensively to cause lots of problems for opposing forwards, especially with his ability to operate out of the high post and create for himself and others. After a great AAU season with Crown and a good summer with Cheshire, Spinoso’s stock is rising quickly.

Spinoso is one of my favorite players to watch in the entire region, but not because he’s flashy or freakishly athletic, rather because he has to be one of the most fun players to play with. He moves the ball like it’s a hot potato and is one of the most heady screen setters and DHO guys I’ve seen at the high school level. You won’t find yourself open for more than 2 seconds on this Crown team, because Spinoso will find you for a ball reversal or spray out. He also uses his strength to hold his own against bigger forwards defensively (even though he’s only 6-foot-5) and has beautiful touch around the rim when posting up smaller players. Awesome player to watch who is going to make a college coach SO happy. I could see division 2 or the highest level D3.

Spinoso, a skilled wing from Cheshire Academy, enters the rankings for the first time at #122. Another multi-level scorer, he’s a big guard that’s comfortable operating as a decision maker with the ball in his hands. He has impressive floor vision, particularly in the half-court, and does a nice job of delivering passes on time and on target. He uses his size to score in the paint, but has also proven to be a consistent shot maker from behind the arc. Defensively, his length creates problems in passing lanes and he has a good feel for where he needs to be in the help.
