-Wingfield has turned in an insanely productive summer that saw him debuting within our top 65 after several standout performances during the scholastic live periods. He also stood out as the best player on a good MAS team, despite playing up as a rising junior. Wingfield finished with a double-double by keeping the same aggressive intensity level throughout the game at both ends of the floor as a dynamic guard that needs to be accounted for at all times. He hit simple baseline pull-ups, had two steals that turned into layups at the other end, had a beautiful double clutch lay off glass, scored off of a leaning floater while fading away almost behind the glass in transition, and knocked down a few C+S 3s. Like the development of his feel as he is prioritizing the value of sneaking in to snag defensive rebounds to close out possessions and get his team going the other way for easy buckets in transition. Wingfield is a heady prospect that allows the game to come to him, doesn't get sped up, and doesn't commit turnovers by being careless with the basketball. He should be in for a big year in new threads with STA this season.

-Continue to come away impressed with the rising junior as he has put together a productive summer between his performances in CHSL and with his AAU program. Love the way that he utilizes his pivot around the basket to regain balance and throw off his defender's tempo to give himself an easier look at the rim. Davis spent the afternoon taking his matchup off the bounce, had several and-1 finishes through contact, and is a pretty aggressive on-ball defender that breathes life into his team's schemes at both ends of the floor. With his ability to handle the rock, make decisions in ball screens, and stretch the floor with his shooting— he only adds to his value as a prospect and should see a sizable bump in our next rankings update.

-Came away impressed by the improved handle and confidence in his play-making ability as Rhinehart served as a pretty dynamic lead guard for his Thrill HOH team. Rhinehart handled ball pressure and double teams well both in the halfcourt and in transition, always keeping his head up to deliver on passing reads that popped up on his drives. The improved handle has allowed him to get into his pullup jumper more fluidly off the bounce, adding in another dimension to his game that makes him more difficult to guard. With the graduation of several key pieces in the backcourt, I'm looking forward to seeing what type of role Rhinehart is able to carve out at JC as we head into his junior season.

-More prospect than player at this point but Coach Vito looks to have found another diamond in the rough with this young forward prospect. Johnson has a good frame for a young big, he carves out space well around the basket and isn't afraid of contact at either end of the floor. Johnson runs the floor and hits the glass hard in his minutes, and what he lacks in finishing polish on the rim he makes up for with second chance putbacks around the basket to earn him the bucket or a trip to the free throw line. If he continues to grow over the next two years while further developing his skillset, we could have another productive DMV big that will likely outperform expectations at the next level.

-Liked his contributions as a productive wing prospect that can serve as an on-ball creator or as a connector that moves well to vulnerable spaces in the defense to make the one-more pass to shooters or his bigs lurking in the dunker's spot. Britt collected steals and turned them into layups or FTs, valued the basketball in the halfcourt by making the simple play, served as a nice release valve for fullcourt defensive schemes either on the ball or in the middle of the floor, and hit perimeter jumpers. The handle is developing nicely to allow him to take advantage of long strides to the basket and he showed improved patience around the defense to wait a beat or hit his defender with a pump fake around the rim to send them flying out of the play. Definitely a name for college coaches to track out of NY's 2027 class.

-Always come away impressed with how easy the game comes to Sutton as he put on a complete show in a win for NJ Scholars. Sutton wowed the crowd with a steal and 360 lay off the window in transition, threw several beautiful lobs in transition to streaking teammates, had a beautiful pocket pass off the live dribble to find a cutter that zipped through the defense from the wing to the rim, had a switch hand lay off the window, and a double-clutch lay off glass to put his team ahead late in the 2H. The shooting skillwork was also on display as he knocked down stepbacks, sidestep 3s, and executed a picture-perfect baseline turnaround fade-away for game (video here). Intrigued to see how his game is sharpened as the newest addition to OTE's Cold Hearts group this upcoming season.
