-Johnson is a developing forward prospect that should slot himself into a nice role for early playing time in new threads with SMCA. A physical big that has put in a ton of work on his footwork and hands around the rim, he plays with a good motor on the offensive glass and gives SMCA a nice option for drop-off or rolls to the rim. Want to see if he has the ball skills to be effective in DHO’s on the perimeter as a roller/pick n pop man.

‘s game is easy to appreciate the low-maintenance identity he brings to a team. Tristan is a lethal spot-up threat who does a phenomenal job of always playing to his strengths. He consistently gets to his spots, knocks down jumpers, and defends his position. Tristan has made strides at attacking closeouts and finishing or hitting shots off the bounce but is still at his best when applying pressure from beyond the arc. He’s also willing to make the extra pass. Tristan is a high-IQ player. He knows how to play with or without the ball in his hands. He’s very efficient from beyond the arc in catch-and-shoot situations. He has a good nose for the ball and will get his team second-chance points. Tristan seems to shine as a positive contributor in every setting and will remain a focal point for Bladensburg for the next two seasons.

-More prospect than player at this point but Coach Vito looks to have found another diamond in the rough with this young forward prospect. Johnson has a good frame for a young big, he carves out space well around the basket and isn’t afraid of contact at either end of the floor. Johnson runs the floor and hits the glass hard in his minutes, and what he lacks in finishing polish on the rim he makes up for with second chance putbacks around the basket to earn him the bucket or a trip to the free throw line. If he continues to grow over the next two years while further developing his skillset, we could have another productive DMV big that will likely outperform expectations at the next level.
