NorCal had a small contingent of club teams participating, the State of California had teams for us to see, so we'll take a deeper look at some of the guard prospects in the Class of 2028 that played well while we were watching.

He's a rising prospect in the NorCal 2028 Class. He was productive against quality competition. At the 15u level, he used his handles, and quickness coming from different angles to finish in the paint, floaters, jumpers, and high off the glass layups. He uses screens to his advantage. He dropped a couple of open 3's around the perimeter, got a few rebounds, then pushed and passed up. He has the foot speed to stay with ball handlers, and stick to shooters.

He's a bouncy guard with multiple ways to get a bucket. Standing 6'3, still growing with a good frame. He has some tools to work with. He created his own shots coming down in transition, on balance making a good moves, not slowing down getting to the rim. He used more moves to attack from other angles around the perimeter, including an off hand floater. He has the mid-range, and in the paint jumper. He hit a couple of 3ptrs.

A long wiry guard with speed. He was good in transition hustling up to fill lanes for layups, and pushing the ball up using his speed, after rebounding. He has good strides, looking to pass, but will go coast to coast if there's an opening. He sets up along the perimeter, and in the corners ready to knock down 3-pointers. Standing 6'4 at the 16u level, he helped rebound. He has good length, takes up passing lanes along with lateral movement, and foot speed to defend out on the perimeter.

The long shooting guard put up nearly 16pts a game with his high school team. He plays at a good pace, with quality handles and moves to create his shot opportunities, within the flow. He's got a good first step attacking from the perimeter, and coming across the lane for paint, and mid-range jumpers. He'll use a spin move, or weave his way to the hoop challenging defenders to finish around the rim. He makes his free throws. He uses his length defending on the perimeter, and rebounding.

The long, wiry fast prospect from the Central Valley had a good game while we were watching. He seems best in a fast pace contest, running, and finishing around the rim. He had multiple drives attacking from the perimeters, using speed, and balance, finding different ways to finish, including a fade in the paint. He handles pressure bringing the ball up on occasion. At 6'4 he helped rebound. He has foot speed, length and good energy defending.
