We are in the early stages of Spring Basketball in NorCal. We have a lot of prospects looking to expand their game, and update their status with good play on the court. Over the past two weekends we've seen prospects play well in competitive games.

[player_tooltip player_id='3453957' first='Aiden' last='Thomas']: Athletic, strong can play multiple positions. He's got good ball handling skills, can change directions, makes good use of his body using hard dribbles, balance to finish strong. He has a couple of moves to get his shot off, paint jumpers, and a step thru. He can get to his spot for a mid-range jumper. At 6'2 he can go down and battle for rebounds, defend bigger players. He has the foot speed and lateral movement to defend full court.

[player_tooltip player_id='2977158' first='Amari' last='Woodard']: Fresh off a CIF State Championship Game where knocked a couple of 3's to contribute to a victory. Woodard is looking to establish himself as one of NorCal's better 3-point shooters who has to be accounted for. He'll come down in rhythm with range to drop one. He moves well along the perimeter, cutting, using screens, good release. He's got a few moves off the dribble to get into the paint. He has length, footspeed, and lateral movement to be a good defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='2879157' first='Jaden' last='Taylor West']: He's a multi positional prospect at this level standing 6'5. He can run the offense if called to do so, we've seen him handle in transition, up top in half-court sets. He has vision, moves the ball. He's good on drives to the basketball, can attack from different angles has good balance. He'll shoot open 3's. He's a good high post passer, sets screens to free up guards, can use a dribble or two to get to the basket. He has the size to defend in the paint, get his fair share of rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='2638996' first='Pierre' last='Tyson']: A fast point guard, good ball handler, quick off the dribble, changes direction, can get into the paint weaving his way in at times for points, and assists, or use a quick first step for a layup. He runs the offense up top, slowing the pace, keeping his dribble live, directing traffic. He's fast in transition, will make the extra pass. He's a good on ball defender, good footspeed lateral movement.

[player_tooltip player_id='2874136' first='Royce' last='Pennington']: After sitting out the whole season. Pennington is off to a good Spring. He's long, has grown since the last time we saw him. At 6'6 he has some ball handling skills, can create opportunities for himself and others, a good passer. He'll rebound and go up court, shows vision to make the long pass up court. He has a reliable jump shot he can hit the mid-range off the dribble, or drop 3's regularly if not accounted for. He helps rebound, has a good effort on the defensive side of the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='3465399' first='Kannon' last='Rector']: He's a newcomer we haven't seen much of. He has a good all around game from the guard position. He can handle up top if needed with good passing, and foot speed, and hard dribbles to attack defenders. He seems to be in motion often, looking to make a play with ball in hand or working to get open for 3-pointers, and pull up jumpers. He's one we need to see more of.

[player_tooltip player_id='2136703' first='Elton' last='Loud']: A good size player, can play multiple positions, at 6'3 the lefty makes strong drives across the paint to finish in traffic or, pull up for paint jumpers, has a good second jump to get offensive rebounds. He gets his fair share of rebounds on both ends. He can come out with the dribble, make good passes up court. He has good foot movement defending the perimeter, has the strength to defend bigger players in the post. He's a strong finisher in transition.
