A muscular player who knows how to find the basket and put points on the scoreboard, Svendsen was a handful for opponents to deal with once he established his position in the post. He simply outmuscled and outmaneuvered defenders to score at the rim. If he encountered double teams, Svendsen simply kicked the ball out to an open teammate. He also showed some versatility by stepping outside and making some shots from three-point range. Svendsen is one of the premier players returning in the Big Rivers Conference as he is coming off a junior season where he averaged 14.3 points and 5.3 rebounds.

Beaver Dam faced some stiff competition at the WBY Tournament and the Beavers held their own against [program_tooltip program_id='2829078' first='West' last='De Pere'], Wauwatosa West, Seymour and Edgerton. Wittnebel may not be the first scoring option for a squad that also includes seniors [player_tooltip player_id='2496335' first='Parker' last='Blank'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2391088' first='EJ' last='Salettel'] along with juniors [player_tooltip player_id='2371701' first='Isaiah' last='Yuenger'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2140933' first='Jaxon' last='Ladron']. But his upside might be the best of all the players in the Beavers' program. His length, bounce and skill continue to improve and impress. Wittnebel's explosiveness on drives to the basket is difficult for defenders to deal with and only figures to become more of a problem as he adds weight and strength to his frame.

Platz was nothing short of outstanding in leading Brookfield East to a victory over Marshfield. The 6-foot-3 wing guard scored 25 of his game-high 29 points in the second half and he scored in every way possible. In transition, he soared to the basket for layups. In the half court, he buried three-point shots and he also used his quickness, aggressiveness and skill to repeatedly beat defenders off the bounce. And when he got to the foul line, he was money. Platz has battled some injuries the past couple of seasons, but when he's healthy and playing with confidence, he is a scoring machine.

Germantown figures to contend for the Greater Metro Conference title along with Brookfield East, Brookfield Central and Wauwatosa West, among others. And a big reason for the optimistic outlook at Germantown is the emergence of Peete. Playing alongside talented teammates [player_tooltip player_id='2116495' first='Cahlil' last='Jones'], [player_tooltip player_id='1561962' first='JJ' last='Walters'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2833578' first='Dylan' last='Merryfield'], Peete excelled in Kaukauna on both ends of the court. He slashed his way to the basket with regularity while also making some shots from the perimeter. Defensively, Peete can guard perimeter players or go inside and make things tough for opposing frontline players. Peete's experience, versatility and talent will be huge assets for Germantown in 2025-26.

Miggins is a smooth player on the basketball court. He glides around looking for openings in the defense and then, boom, attacks and gets to the basket for layups. His quickness, creativity with the ball and slashing ability were definitely assets for Marshall at the WBY Tournament in Kaukauna. Older brother, Kenyon Miggins, recently committed to NCAA Division III Dubuque as a 5-foot-10 lead guard. Jaylen is more of a wing and is a bit taller. He doesn't have the same facilitator skills of Kenyon, but Jaylen appears to be more of a natural scorer.

It always seems to look better when a left-handed shooter makes shots. And Albrecht is a lefty who made shots at a high rate during the WBY Tournament in Kaukauna. Thus, he caught the eye of some college coaches in attendance. A wing guard with very good size and the ability to move well without the basketball, Albrecht hunts shots for Northland Pines and when he gets a good look at the basket and lets go with his shot, the results are usually good. Albrecht averaged 16.1 ppg as a junior for coach Terry Klemett and is one of the better long-distance shooters in northern Wisconsin.

Oak Creek's backcourt is loaded with skilled players and if coach Eric Hollow can find some frontline players who hold their own in the paint, the Knights could emerge as the team to beat in the Southeast Conference. Busch, senior [player_tooltip player_id='1561955' first='Joey' last='Carini'], senior [player_tooltip player_id='2636875' first='Noah' last='Daniel'] and sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='2504214' first='Jaquan' last='Turner'] form a dynamic quartet for Oak Creek. Busch was one of the better guards in Kaukauna as he competed with energy, made shots from the perimeter and also grabbed rebounds. He can push the ball in transition or fill the lane and either score going to the basket or spot up for a three-point attempt. If the old saying you win with guards is true, look out for Oak Creek this winter.

Leading his team to a 5-0 record and a decisive win over defending WIAA Division 2 state champion Wauwatosa West in a pool championship game. That's a mighty impressive list of accomplishments for Loose over a two-day period in Kaukauna. His leadership, versatile scoring ability and overall toughness were evident each time Port Washington took the floor. Loose doesn't always get the publicity or acclaim of others in the greater Milwaukee area, but there is no denying the results he and his teammates registered this past weekend. Simply put, he's a very good all-around player who competes with an edge and provides strong leadership to his teammates.

Since the end of the high school season, Uhlenbrauck has etched his reputation in stone as a terrific long-distance shooter who moves well without the ball and can guard with his lateral movement and toughness. He made shots in bunches over the weekend, including seven three-point baskets in a pool championship game victory over Winneconne. Uhlenbrauck had 19 three-point baskets in five games and that type of shooting certainly translates to the next level. Older brother, Cole Uhlenbrauck, is a valuable player at St. Norbert College, and Mason figures to follow in his footsteps as a strong collegiate player.

Bleck is a baseball player in the spring so the last we saw of him was in March during the WIAA playoffs when he was knocking down three-point shots in a regional win over Winenbago Lutheran. Bleck's game evolved throughout the 2024-25 high school season. He got better in all aspects as the season progressed. Bleck carried over that impression in Kaukauna as he helped Xavier to a 5-0 record, teaming with junior [player_tooltip player_id='2434543' first='Logan' last='Ramczyk'] in the Hawks' very skilled and experienced backcourt. Bleck's shooting, ball handling and decision making are all big pluses for a Xavier program looking to again finish among the top teams in the Bay Conference.
