Many of these players made this list based on the way they led their teams. Or by the consistent impact they made when they were on the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='1529852' first='Josiah' last='Stroughter'] and the rest of his Democracy Prep team went to battle in a couple of close games down at Section 7. He dropped 28 points against Liberty (AZ), by hitting a ton of tough contested lay-ups. Thanks to his efforts, the Blue Knights escaped with a one point win. Then on Sunday, he and Democracy Prep almost rallied to beat Mesa after being down north of 15 points with 10 minutes left. Stroughter had his best shooting performance of the weekend, pouring in 3 triples. Unfortunately Mesa ended up winning by 1. Overall, he played with intensity and you could tell he left it all out there.

[player_tooltip player_id='1253141' first='Jayonni' last='Durrough'] played at a very high level down at Section 7. He almost averaged a triple-double and consistently made plays to help the Bulldogs advance. Including the game winning free throw in the very first game. I was also a fan of the way he was operating with the ball and with how he guarded multiple positions from ions on defense. He and the Bulldogs ended up falling to Crespi in the championship, however he competed hard in the second half to make it a fairly close game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1667943' first='Zyon' last='Harris'] played a vital role in Centennial's run to the championship. On offense, he was draining shots from beyond the arc and shot and went 12-22 over the course of the 4 games (good for 54%). Harris averaged 23.7 points per game as well, and made hustle plays on defense to cause turnovers. All in all, it was quality weekend for the Bulldog guard. If you're a college coach, look for him in July with the [program_tooltip program_id='2888350' first='LV' last='Knicks']. As he may stay hot from downtown.

Aaron McMorran put his scoring skills on full display at Section 7. The crafty left-handed shooter utilized an array of ball-handling maneuvers and change of direction to lose his defenders. I was also a fan of the patience and footwork that he used at times to give himself a better look. McMorran managed to average 23.7 PPG and shot 36% from 3. He also notably went 20-22 from the free throw line and came down with 18 boards.

[player_tooltip player_id='2370259' first='Terry' last='McKinney III'] provided big and timely buckets for the Bishop Gorman Gaels down in Arizona. He was getting to the basket and threw down a few dunks with authority. He also made jump shots and got to the line. Perhaps one of his most notable plays of the weekend was when he got to the line in overtime against, and hit the game winning free throw. He continues to be one of the more fun Las Vegas players to watch.

[player_tooltip player_id='2047786' first='Kameron' last='Cooper']'s name is now quite well-known. He was recently named a 4 star recruit and he was also just ranked #115 in the 2027 class. At Section 7, he likely gained even more interest from colleges thanks to the way he shot the ball. He was efficient during his catch and shoot opportunities and he utilized his one dribble pull up too. On the other end of the court, Cooper gave his opponent fits with his wingspan and lateral mobility.

[player_tooltip player_id='1266706' first='Tyler' last='Bright'] made impacts on both offense and defense down at Section 7. On offense, he was finding ways to score inside and shot right over and the top of defenders. He also connected on a few 3-pointers. On defense, he was protecting the paint and fighting for rebounds. In addition to his solid play, I liked the way he was hustling. During one of the games I saw the 6'9 big man dive to the floor for a loose ball. Which isn't something you typically he from centers.

[player_tooltip player_id='2086139' first='Tyler' last='Johnson'] simply gets after it. The Bishop Gorman point guard is more athletic than his opponents expect. When you combine that with his anticipation skills, it's no wonder that he was Nevada's Defensive Player Of The Year. Johnson also utilized his agility skills to set up his shots on offense and to get to the cup. If he can keep playing like that and July, there may be colleges that come calling.

[player_tooltip player_id='1490283' first='Amare' last='Oba'] is now suiting up with the Coronado Cougars and he had some quality games with them in Arizona. His best performance came against Rancho, where he had 29 points and 5 rebounds. Oba was making shots from everywhere, and had a nice baseline drive where he showed off his touch. He also made 4 of his 7 3-point attempts. In the other games of his that I watched, I saw him handling the ball and a bit and throwing down dunks. Oba is back to work this weekend at Cali Live and will look to make some noise there as well.
