Expert Analysis
Paul Hernandez | Prep Hoops Scout
Durrough is a physical and skilled player that can space the floor with the 3-ball, as well as score in the paint with good size and strength. The 6-foot-5 wing has solid handles, uses the crossover and hard-pound dribble to get his defender off balance, uses his solid frame to score at the basket through contact, and moves fluidly off the ball to get open looks off the catch, with accuracy beyond the arc. Durrough crashes the boards, has nice touch on putbacks, has the handle to push the ball up the court off the glass, and draws fouls to get to the line on the regular, as was evident with his 11 trips to the charity stripe. Durrough finished with 14 points in the loss to Sierra Canyon.

played at a high level against Mojave yesterday. I was a fan of how aggressive he was with the rock. He consistently got to the paint on his drives, made shots from the perimeter and got to the line often. I also noticed him facilitating for others. Defensively, Durrough didn’t give his opponents much room to operate and he picked a couple of pockets.

nearly averaged a triple double for the Centennial Bulldogs at Section 7 and helped them get to the championship. He also played well for the Las Vegas Knicks and was named to the All-Defensive team for the Pro16 Circuit. Durrough is now capping off his high school career at Trinity Prep, where he will look to pick up even more interest/offers.

has transferred to Trinity Prep as well. The dynamic guard does a great job of leveraging his frame and IQ to get to his spots on offense. On defense, Durrough applies good ball pressure and causes turnovers regularly. Time will tell, but there is a chance that his recruitment picks up.

played at a very high level down at Section 7. He almost averaged a triple-double and consistently made plays to help the Bulldogs advance. Including the game winning free throw in the very first game. I was also a fan of the way he was operating with the ball and with how he guarded multiple positions from ions on defense. He and the Bulldogs ended up falling to Crespi in the championship, however he competed hard in the second half to make it a fairly close game.

is the #2 shooting guard in the state due to his ability to impact the game on both ends of the court. He can generate offense by driving to the rack or by pulling up from behind the 3-point line. Durrough is a willing passer as well and can put the ball on the money to his fellow shooters. On defense, he can cover both guards and forwards. He also has the ability to create turnovers when he anticipates what his opponents are doing. If you’re a college coach and need a legit 2 way guy, check him out at Section 7.

has picked up an offer from the hometown team, UNLV. He is a dynamic player due to his skill, physicality, and competitiveness. He also may have more offers on the way if he can continue to play at a high level.

recently scored 30 points against team High Level on the PRO16 circuit. He plays with intensity and is often in attack mode. He can drive to the rack and make lay-ups through contact. Or he can splash in shots from the perimeter. Durrough is also a reliable defender he uses his athleticism and instincts to create turnovers and come up with boards.

had a lot to do with Centennial’s success this season. In the games that I watched him play, I noticed that he has a way of slicing through the defense. Many defenders had issues with how crafty he can be, and in turn he was able to get to the free throw line fairly often. Durrough is also a willing passer and can hit shots from the outside. On the defensive end, Durrough gives max effort and I like how he doesn’t give opponents much room to operate. Look for him to have a big AAU season again with the Knicks.
