Licking Heights impressed me on Monday as they had some impressive wins against solid competition. Licking Heights has a swarm of bodies they can throw at you with size and athleticism that can turn you over and quickly score on the other end. Lovinsky did a nice job of setting screens, rolling, finishing above the rim, rebounding and protecting the rim. When Lovinsky keeps his game simple and does those things, he impacts winning at a pretty high level.

Another year where Harvest Prep will be a force to be reckoned with in central Ohio, the Warriors will pressure you defensively and try and score in transition. Wharton did a nice job of running the floor, making open shots and finding himself at the right place at the right time. With soft touch on his jump-shot, Wharton got a friendly roll on a few shots on Monday. On a team with a nice mix of young and senior talent, Wharton should play a big role for Harvest Prep this season.

Olentangy Orange graduated a ton of production from their state championship squad but they still have plenty of talent to give teams trouble this season. Schroeder has gone from a complimentary guard who played hard defensively and made an open shot to the full-time facilitator who can run the show. I love the intangibles Schroeder plays with, always giving 100% effort and he demanded the ball when his team was in a funk offensively. With the crisp offense Olentangy Orange runs in the half-court, Schroeder still gets some shots off the catch that he knocked down at a high clip. Fun to see Schroeder take on a lead role as a rising senior.

One of the most athletic players I saw all day, Wiley was getting after it at the defensive end of the court. With the quickness and frame to bother opposing ball handlers, Wiley most importantly enjoys defending and makes it his mission to prevent the man across from him from making plays offensively. Wyoming had a couple tough early losses and were missing some pieces including [player_tooltip player_id='1925832' first='Darren' last='Gray'] that will be with them this season and should make the Cowboys one of the best teams in Cincinnati.
