198 teams. 342 games. Four venues. Three days, from Noon on Friday until about 6:00 p.m. on Sunday filled with Indiana High School Basketball. The annual IBCA/IHSAA Charlie Hughes Showcase is the single best evaluation and recruiting event of the calendar year. As always, Prep Hoops Indiana will have boots on the ground coverage from the opening tip-off until the final buzzer of this great event. With day two now in the books let's highlight some of the less-heralded stars from Saturday's action at Carmel High School and Westfield High School.

Bremer was outstanding in Carmel's impressive win over South Bend St. Joseph on Saturday. The 6'0" guard shot it well from beyond the arc and led the Greyhounds in scoring with 21 points while capturing the attention of some folks in attendance. Anytime someone is a multi-year contributor at Carmel it should signal the fact that they are, probably, at least a small-college prospect. Bremer likely played his way into that discussion on Saturday at the Charlie Hughes Showcase.

Ranked as a Top 50 prospect in the Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2026 Prospect Rankings, Franklin isn't underrated to us. However, he still likely doesn't get the recognition he deserves on a statewide basis despite being one of the top scorers in the state as a junior. Franklin proved his ability to put the ball in the basket on Saturday once again pouring in 41 points against Evansville Bosse. The 6'1" physical guard is as talented of a pure scorer as you'll find in the rising senior class.

Lloyd was turning some heads amongst college coaches in attendance on Saturday. The 6'5"-6'6" forward is part of, arguably, the most physically gifted and athletic front court in the state playing next to Kalala. His defensive versatility stands out immediately along with his ability to rebound, but he also looked good attacking closeouts and playing off of the throw ahead in transition. Those athletic tools will carry him to the next level. Definitely one to watch.

It was an absolute flurry of defensive stops as soon as McKee checked into the game on Saturday. In his first rotation alone he collect 4 rebounds, 4 steals, and 2 blocked shots. McKee was genuinely all over the floor and changed the game for New Albany who was, at the time, losing to Penn but went on to win the game. His active level and quickness really stood out.

Moore is a star on the baseball diamond, but he looked good on the hardwood on Saturday as well. The 6'4" wing has excellent size on the perimeter with a very strong build. What really captured our attention though was his catch-and-shoot ability. Moore knocked down multiple three-point shots while we were watching the Eagles play Marion. Anytime you combine that size and shooting ability it is intriguing.

Gary 21st Century could enter the 2025-2026 season as the #1 team in Class 2A. There is no shortage of talent to go around and Mosley is certainly part of what makes them go. The talented 5'9" dynamic playmaker finished with 20 points, 6 assists, and 5 steals in a big win over Terre Haute North on Saturday evening. His quickness and ability to get a piece of the paint off of the bounce consistently is what we really like about this point guard. Part of a very talented backcourt for the Cougars.

This is a guy who excels in his role. Obermeyer, who is more 6'4"-6'5" now, was really impressive in Penn's game against New Albany over at Westfield High School on Saturday. He has great size on the wing, handles the ball pretty well, and is comfortable scoring around the basket. Obermeyer really stands out as a versatile defender and rebounder while playing with an excellent motor. He communicates very well for a high school player as well. Under-the-radar small college prospect for the Kingsmen.

This 6'4" forward handled the athleticism and length of Lawrence Central very well, especially early on in the game, on Saturday morning. Richmond is very athletic and bouncy himself around the basket and super comfortable operating within 12-15 feet of the basket. His crafty scoring ability really stood out while we watched the first half of Columbia City. Richmond recently received an offer from Huntington.

You can't help but watch Smith and get excited about his athletic and physical tools. However, on Saturday, he matched it with a good deal of production in Park Tudor's contest against Oak Hill. The 6'4" wing/forward had a big-time end-to-end stretch where he finished an alley-oop and then had a chase down block. Smith went on to make a tough turnaround out of the mid-post, finish a couple of right hand drives at the rim, and showcase his defensive versatility along the way.

Winslow played a big role in New Albany's win over Penn that we watched on Saturday at Westfield High School. The long, athletic, 6'3" wing was excellent in transition and showed off his ability as a right hand driver and half court slasher/cutter within the Bulldogs' offense. His athleticism really popped on the boards as well where he pulled down some big time rebounds on both ends of the floor. Intriguing Class of 2027 prospect to track among a plethora of talent at New Albany.
