Richmond’s bounciness and ability to catch the ball in the post, turn over his left shoulder, and elevate to finish over the defense makes him an incredibly difficult interior matchup. The Huntington signee had 23 points and 7 rebounds on Tuesday night as Columbia City moved to 18-4 with an 80-59 win over Bishop Luers.

This versatile 6’4″ forward was hounded all game long inside. South Bend Adams did a great job of fronting him in the post and then providing backside help to make entry passes difficult. The Huntington signee still was able to fight and claw his way to 15 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists in Columbia City’s 60-57 loss.

Richmond has been on our Watch List for quite some time, but he is a “new name” in the rankings in this update. The versatile 6’4″ forward was very impressive in the game we watched at Charlie Hughes between Columbia City and Lawrence Central. He was very poised with the ball around the basket and effective against their size, length, and athleticism. Richmond has a great interior game and can be a real matchup issue for opponents. He was very deserving of making his debut all of the way up at #83 overall.

This 6’4″ forward handled the athleticism and length of Lawrence Central very well, especially early on in the game, on Saturday morning. Richmond is very athletic and bouncy himself around the basket and super comfortable operating within 12-15 feet of the basket. His crafty scoring ability really stood out while we watched the first half of Columbia City. Richmond recently received an offer from Huntington.

A quality skilled wing that possesses nice hands and feet inside and out. Made a smart post move catching it right outside the paint for a finish at the rim. Made another smart cut into a gap on an EOB to finish at the bucket again. Uses his length to make a challenge in the passing lanes. Took one steal and went coast to coast for a layup at full speed enduring contact in the air. Mid range is efficient. Selflessly plays very cohesively with teammates and stays composed through physicality.
