When it comes to the in-state 2028 class, a name that continues to look more and more as player that is going to be one of the top guards in that class is [player_tooltip player_id='2823963' first='Kyron' last='Johnson']. Got another chance to see Johnson for Era Elite 2028 and was once again impressed with his playmaking ability. He knows how to control the pace of a game and can make plays with his scoring and facilitating. A good feel for the game.

I am always a fan of players that play with a high motor and do all the little things well and that is why [player_tooltip player_id='2819672' first='James' last='Hannigan'] is a standout player for me. Playing for Era Elite 2028, Hannigan showed non-stop hustle when he was on the floor diving for loose balls and willing to fight for rebounds. Played a little bit of post for Era Elite and showed a smooth midrange jumper and floater.

The Carmel Greyhounds have a nice young core coming up the ranks and [player_tooltip player_id='2411078' first='Jaxen' last='Bennett'] looks to be one of those cornerstone pieces. Playing for [program_tooltip program_id='2847679' first='Refined' last='Indiana'] 15u, I was impressed with his ability to play the lead guard spot well. A true floor general that plays with energy while also being able to hit the outside shot at a good rate right now.

Willing was one of the more intriguing players that played at Havoc in the Heartland this past weekend. Playing for [program_tooltip program_id='2847679' first='Refined' last='Indiana'] 15u, he immediately stood out due to his natural height and size. While he is still is raw in some areas, he does a good job of getting boards on both ends. He does have a soft touch around, as well. He is one to watch for the next couple of years.

When [program_tooltip program_id='2847679' first='Refined' last='Indiana'] 15u needed a big bucket, it seemed like [player_tooltip player_id='2836937' first='Ethan' last='Goodwin'] was the guy. While he is on the smaller end right now, he was one of the better shooters I watched on the day on Sunday at Havoc in the Heartland. He is more of catch-and-shoot type of guard but is not afraid of attacking the lane as well.

One of the more productive guards I watched on Sunday at Havoc in the Heartland was [player_tooltip player_id='2560646' first='Sunjay' last='Narsinghani'], who played for Pro Skills Basketball 2027. He is more comfortable as a shooter but showed some good court vision and overall basketball IQ. Was scrappy on the defensive end and just played with good energy.

I have seen Crim a few times up to this point and one thing I will always like about him is how tough he plays, even with his smaller size. A player that is comfortable with the ball in his hands, Crim can make plays and is a really good shooter with space. He is just very productive for [player_tooltip player_id='2860120' first='Midwest' last='Stars'] 16u.

One of the few out-of-state players that I got to watch over the weekend was [player_tooltip player_id='2816200' first='Cole' last='Oram'], who was playing for Kentucky Future Elite 16u. He was one of the more confident shooters I watched on Sunday and overall just played aggressively. Made some big plays down the stretch when his team needed him to.
