I love Charlie's game, and he has had a nice spring. Charlie has elite range and has a great handle that he uses to create looks from three. He is an outstanding driver going to his left, and he is a good athlete. Charlie has been excellent in the summer league and for NOVA Cavs. He will build on this spring/summer with a great senior season.

From day 1, I felt [player_tooltip player_id='2815368' first='Maddox' last='Davis'] was going to develop into a highly productive guard at this level. Maddox has great quickness and an elite handle. He is a good passer, and as his game matures, he will be a terrific lead guard. He is a three-level scorer, and although he is a little small, he has a complete skill set. He is also a gritty defender with a good motor.

[player_tooltip player_id='2815378' first='Trey' last='Lonardo'] took a huge leap last season for Marshall, and I think he will take another one heading into his senior year. Trey is a terrific shooter spotting up and can get his own attacking mismatches. He is a solid defender with versatility. Marshall will lose their best player in [player_tooltip player_id='2242429' first='Anderson' last='Krisko'], so I think the guy who takes the biggest step is Trey. I watched him play in the Summer League last week, and he was fantastic, along with some of the great work he's done with the NOVA Cavs.

Riverside should still be terrific, but they are losing 3 key players from a team that was one of the best in NOVA. Max averaged 14 a game last season, but I think he can be a guy that hovers around 20 a game as a senior. Max can play either guard position, although he is a little better suited as a two. He has good size and three-level scoring ability. Max uses his size well against smaller guards, and he is a crafty finisher. I watched the DeMatha summer league, and one of my takeaways from the day was that Max should be one of the better guards in the 2026 class in NOVA.

[player_tooltip player_id='2605296' first='Messiah' last='Dixon'] is another guy who caught my eye at the DeMatha Summer League. Messiah is a hound defensively and gets into the jersey of opposing guards. He is quick, and he does a good job attacking and penetrating the defense. He is a high IQ PG who knows how to get players the ball. Messiah can get his own bucket when he needs to, and I love him as a leader and tone-setter on both ends. Messiah's name has popped up more in the past few months, and is a guy that takes a leap in his senior season.
